The receptionist was extremely helpful. He allowed us to leave our bags (it was before check-in) while we returned our hire car, had lunch and did some shopping and also when we were leaving as we weren't going to the Airport until later in the day. The room was modern, very clean and comfortable. The price was also good. I booked this establishment as it was close to the train from Greymouth and although unfortunately we had to cancel that part of our journey due to a road closure, we kept the booking and found it easy to access from the highway when coming from Timaru.

We bad booked months in advance so were surprised to be allocated the disability unit, which we did not require. It had access directly onto the carpark and a seat in the shower. Which is probably awesome for someone who needs that. It was an unusual allocation / experience for our one night getaway to attend the Thom Yorke concert at the Wolfbrook Arena nearby.

We stayed here so we could catch the transalpine easily. The hotel is on a busy road but we didn’t hear any noise. Room was typical hotel with a king bed. Clean and perfectly fine for a night or two

Unit was clean. House keeping didnt make bed. Shower was one of the worst showers we have used. Common building exit door far to noisy the ram was broken and the aluminum doors banged each time someone went in and out, which was loud to our room. Bed and bedding was compfy and clean. Advertised with sky tv but was not available to our room. The guy that checked us in was helpfull and polite. With a few small changes this motel or our room at least could have been better.
