Good for one night stay.

Clean and tidy. Bathroom needs a refurbish but clean. Friendly service upon arrival with young man showing us to our room. Had meal at restaurant very nice.

Lovely big room. Comfortable bed. The bathroom was a bit dated and needs a refurb. Apart from that, it was excellent. The food in the restaurant was really good. The free shuttle to the airport was a real bonus as well.

The staff in reception and the airport driver were very friendly. The restaurant girls were not friendly and borderline rude. Our room ceiling lights were inoperable. I had the receptionist come to the room to confirm. We were not offered a different room but we were OK with that even though another room would have been preferred. The room, #838, is showing it's age and needs a refresh.

It is our third time here

Again, Airport Gateway Motor Lodge was a comfortable place to stay before an very early morning flight back to Melbourne, Australia. Their airport pick-up and drop-off service is fantastic. The room was clean, comfortable, with great amenities in the kitchen and bathroom.

Had an upgrade to room with a separate bedroom. Really lovely service from the male staff member who picked us up at the airport at 12.30am in the rain, took us straight to the door and took bags in for us. Thank you. Nice to have an upgrade but we were only there 7.5 hours. Room needs some updating especially the bathroom with the red toilet, bath, basin. slept well

Great place to stay near the Christchurch airport

Very comfortable bed with two extra pillows, which we put to use. The small kitchen was only used for coffee and tea making as we only stayed one night. It had a small fridge, cooktop, microwave, kettle, toaster, a few pots and pans, cutlery for two people, several types of glasses, cups, plates, sal and pepper, dishwashing equipment with a small sink and tap in the kitchen. There was a desk and chair for working with an overhead lamp for the desk. The WiFi was very good. There was a very large TV with a Blu-ray player, speakers in the ceiling and a receiver. I think there was Foxtel. The bathroom was well equipped with even fragrance spray for smells. Heated towel rail was a welcome addition in the bathroom. The parking was easy with access to our room from the parking space being only a couple of steps away. The surrounding environment was free of noise and close to take-away food places and six-to-ten-minute driving distance to supermarkets.
