Okay option for Christchurch

Good location in the Center of the city Walking distance to lots of places Check in was smooth and reception gave welcome brownie Room is not big but for the price it is okay Cleaning staff needs a bit more attention to details Some of the reception ladies are very robotic with the daily job not very warm friendly or at least hospitality

The Carnmore Hotel in Christchurch was lovely. Although I wish it were closer to a more walkable area, it was still convenient thanks to easy parking and in-and-out privileges. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the hotel itself was clean. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. The only downside was the shower situation... the bathroom's design led to poor water drainage and some flooding. Overall, it was a really nice stay!

Clean and quiet hotel within walking distance to many points of interest within Christchurch. Front staff were friendly and helpful although check-in time was busy so be prepared to wait. The restaurant looked nice (we didn't dine there) but the bar staff seemed overrun. We waited for more than 5 minutes to order a drink (no one else was at the bar) and after not getting served - or even acknowledged - we left to go elsewhere.

The hotel is lively and the front desk staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff is lacking in service levels (takes a long time to get service) with the exception of a young man by the name of Sam. He was very friendly, attentive and highly service oriented. We enjoyed our stay very much - just found most of the restaurant staff to be quite slow.
