Been here 4 times now. It's always great, and this time it was even better because they have fridges now! The pillows are the best here, clean beds, excellent water pressure in the shower, and it feels safe. It's really hard to check all of those boxes for the price they charge.

First of all, there was no indication on hotels.com that Rambler was a MOTEL at the time I made my booking. We found out when we arrived. Second, we probably spent a total of 2 hours in that room from the time we checked in to check out! My daughter and I started sneezing as soon as we walked in to the room. Couldn’t figure out why. We left the room to go by allergy medication and stayed out as long as we could. As soon as we came back to the room, started sneezing again and my daughter’s eyes and her face turned red. My nose and throat were so itchy- we decided to leave and checked out around midnight. Horrible experience. And you should update on your website that this is a MOTEL and not a hotel

Staff was courteous and room was clean, but smaller than I expected. No fridge in room and breakfast was "mehh.." No fresh eggs or sausage. They had toast with PB&J, bananas and apples. Packets of oatmeal and yogurt. Also had cereal, but by 9am all that was left was granola cereal. I appreciate a good breakfast and is probably only reason why I will not stay there again. If you don't care about a breakfast it was good stay for the price. Beds are comfy!

This was our second stay at the Rambler. Friendly staff, very clean facility, quiet and such a comfortable place to stay whether it’s overnight or longer. Very close to the highway, eateries, and the trolley station. Definitely will stay here again on our next visit to San Diego.
