The hotel is within walking distance of the train station, and the breakfast was very good. However, the service left much to be desired. We stayed for two days, and during that time the towels were never changed. Our room did not have air conditioning, so we had to rely on a fan to keep the air cool. In the email the hotel sent us, it was mentioned that the shower room would be shared. What was not clearly explained is that both the shower and the toilet are located outside the room and function as public facilities. So, be cautious when booking a room advertised with a “shared shower room”—the conditions may not be what you expect.

We were allowed an early check in and got a warm welcome but at the end it was revealed they have the builders in on our floor. Loud drilling , cables and builders and equipment in the way in the corridor. We went out for the afternoon to escape it and learned they were due to start again at 8am. Refurbished triple room but not the ‘superior double’ we reserved. No real bathroom, just a shower at the end of a narrow toilet where the doors overlapped and water escaped easily. The washbasin was in the bedroom. Outside the window( literally) was a neighbour’s balcony terrace where their chatting until late competed with our tv and could be clearly heard. Breakfast was poor compared to most hotels. Wasn’t that cheap and felt poor value.

Old building, has to climb stairs to reception. But staff are kind enough to carry them for us. Elevator very small (only fits in one person and 2 luggages). If more, door won’t be able to close nor open.

We stayed at Hotel Drei Könige for the Bernina Express from Chur to Tirano. Its location near the train station was perfect, especially with heavy bags. However, the first-floor reception has no elevator access from the ground, making luggage transport tough. An elevator exists from the first floor up. Rooms are decent, but the bathroom and shower are small, especially for tall people. No AC forced us to keep windows open, worsening noise from church bells ringing every 15 minutes until 11 PM or midnight and footsteps from rooms above. Fine for a short stay if location is key, but noise and lack of AC are drawbacks.

There‘re few steps from entrance to the reception. Beware about check in time. 15:30 - 20:00 We arrived at noon but the rooms are ready and the receptionist let us check in right away. Rooms are very clean and the room we booked are on the top floor which are newly renovated. Breakfast was good as a three stars property. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Location excellent, service perfect

This hotel is in a perfect location for supermarket, sightseeing etc. The ladies on the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The room was a good size for a short stay, having all the essentials (would be better to have real cups for hot drinks - not the paper cups supplied). The chairs were a bit uncomfortable. We loved the shower cubicle - clean, great size (need more water pressure though). The pillows are flat and useless - need more inner or even 2 pillows instead. Liked that we had a fan instead of air con. Thanks for a lovely stay, despite the negative comments i made.

The hotel location is at the back quiet street. We were followed by 2 local men one night 9:30pm walking back to the hotel. We were alert at the beginning but they kept the distance following us (myself, wife and my daughter). When we get close. We ran into the hotel and thar 2 men walked into the hotel. fortunately the staff is at the desk and we began talking to the staff and those 2 guys saw we were talking to the staff they turn around and left!!! Those 2 males were 40-50s. They were stalking us from the water foundation area infront of the Unix goldschmiede jewelry. Traveler be aware!!

Our room was lovely and the front desk staff very helpful. The area outside our room was undergoing updating and wasn’t very appealing, though. Also, despite there being an elevator in the building, the front desk is up a full flight of stairs. This could be a concern to anyone unable to do stairs. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay.

Good comfortable stay in the old Town of Chur

Stayed for 1 night ahead of using the bernina Express. Overall, a good comfortable stay. Whilst the wider hotel is not presented fantastically well and would benefit from a bit of modernisation, the triple room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfy. The location was very good in the old town and was easy to find, within 10 mins walk of the train station. The breakfast option was also good, including gluten free bread. And the staff were very welcoming on arrival. So overall we found this to be a very good option for staying the one night in Chur.
