Beautiful view from the room! The room and bathroom were very clean with a shower that got nice and hot. Every staff member we interacted with were super friendly and helpful! Good breakfast too!

I was really pleasantly surprised by how nice and comfy the hotel was, as well as being clean and well maintained. The two desk clerks were very helpful also, as well as managing the small downstairs bar which was a nice feature. The place is by the train station and it seemed perfectly safe to me. The walk to the beach was just over 15 minutes, so quite convenient.

This was our 6th time staying at this hotel: Did feel this time it wasn’t as good as previous stays. Breakfast was very good, however a limited menu in the evening we stayed 4nights and the menu didn’t change.The outdoor pool is open until 9 at night and is by the restaurant so can get noisy with children using it in the evening. Rooms are clean and service very good so is the location which is very close to shops etc.

We chose Villa Genesis expecting a relaxing boutique luxury experience in Menton, but unfortunately our stay fell well below expectations. Our arrival began poorly after we walked from the train station with our luggage because we had been told transportation assistance wasn’t available, only to later learn the hotel could have arranged it. After arriving exhausted, hot and dehydrated, we were met not with a warm welcome but with confusion over how we had entered the property. Throughout check-in, several front desk staff displayed dismissive attitudes, visible eye-rolling, condescending behaviour, and a lack of professionalism that was shocking for a hotel marketing itself as a luxury property. The first room bore little resemblance to what had been described, and we ultimately paid to upgrade after an unnecessarily stressful process. Service at the pool restaurant was equally disappointing. A simple request for a cheese platter became an uncomfortable interaction marked by inconsistent information and an unfriendly attitude. In our upgraded room, water spread across the bathroom floor outside the shower, causing me to slip and fall—a serious safety concern given I’m recovering from a major ankle injury. We were also repeatedly awakened by leaf blowers and loud staff conversations immediately outside our room early each morning.
