Great location. Clean rooms. Would stay again.

Plenty of room, clean and easy walk to pubs!

Great Spot! Great for our group of 9....

A very nice place to stay, especially as we were in the old part of the property which has loads of character. We had a big, comfortable room with sitting area. I particularly liked that the TV was hidden away behind doors so did not intrude it's presence into the room. The staff were very good, friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is first rate. One down side is that, surprisingly, there is no kettle in the room and ordering hot water or tea from downstairs is tedious and inconvenient. The other minor issue that we had was that the option I chose to book specifically included free parking which implies that there would be parking reserved for me as it was include in my room description. This turned out not to be the case and the small car park was already full. This all got sorted out by the helpful front of house people but it was another irritation that took the shine off a very pleasant visit.

Maybe it’s an American expectation, but there was no help with luggage. You had to lug it up a set of stairs before reaching the heavy wooden doors, all while standing in the rain. Once inside, the staff was friendly, kind of. They seemed to be good at all the wrong things. The door to the balcony in my room was broken. Someone came to fix it, managed to break it further, and promised to add it to the maintenance list. He then told me I would be perfectly safe sleeping with a balcony door that would remain open all night. He assured me there were too many cameras focused on the building next door (possibly the spa) for anyone to attempt to enter my room. The balcony outside connected all the rooms on my floor and was separated only by a small iron fence that I could easily climb over. I don’t know. This is not a budget hotel, right? Am I wrong to expect better service and a greater sense of security? The rooms were fine and well-appointed. The bathroom was standard but perfectly adequate. The art, however, seemed very out of place. Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans paired with typical pink Victorian designs? It just missed the mark. The grounds were fine but could have been better maintained. In their defense, it is October and the end of the growing season. All in all, I don’t think this hotel is worth the cost and given the opportunity I would not stay here again.

Wonderful hotel. Supremely comfortable, and all personnel gracious and attentive. Public areas, including lounges, and a library had an unpretentious country house elegance. My bedroom was spacious and well appointed. The restaurant (Falls) was an absolute tour de force— wonderful Local ingredients, sophisticated, well executed technique, a handsome wine list, and super professional service. Worth going out of your way just for the restaurant, even if you don’t have the pleasure to be a guest.

Had my wedding here in August and it was a DREAM!!! Sarah was the most wonderful host possible and made planning a wedding from the States a breeze. The estate is absolutely phenomenal. So much character and history, you will be in awe. You feel like you're in a movie. I did almost no decor for my wedding because the venue itself takes care of everything. The house is spotless and so comfortable. There's stunning views from every angle & window. As an American who isn't a fan of Irish food, this is the best cooking I've EVER had in Ireland (sorry to my Irish family) I still think about the food constantly. Sarah is extremely accommodating to her guest and just an absolute joy to be around. Truly no words can do this place and my experience justice. Pictures don't even do this place justice. this house has everything you could possibly need and is a very short walk into town as well. There's so much to do on the property and kids will have a blast there especially with all the animals! This was such a magical stay for me and made my wedding so special. In the future when I go back to Ireland, even though I have a place to stay with my family, I will make sure to stay at least one night back at the Lismacue house to see Sarah and think about how dreamy my wedding was. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING LISMACUE HOUSE & STAFF!!!!!♥♥♥♥ The best of the best!!
