Room was clean, but that was about all I could say for the positives. Girl checking us in said maybe 10 words max, “ID”, “card on file”, “click no, sign” and that was it. Go up to the room, which was clean, however the room was so loud overnight. Train horn blaring multiple times overnight. Empty room next door had an alarm set for 2:50am that went on for 5+ minutes straight multiple times until I finally got earplugs. I usually stay at the best western in Clayton and fully regret not spending the extra $10 to, it is more than worth it. Also; there is no pool or hot tub and they have no plans to fix either, so they should really take it off their amenities list.

Outside was trashed and staff was not attentive. They said almost nothing. The room was a little dirty, floor was not clean and the bedspread had stains.

There was food stuck to the floor. A bandaid and dead bugs in the bathroom. And the bath mat had dark stains. We left and went to another hotel in the vicinity.

I booked this room because it was supposed to have a pool and hot tub. They were out of commission. I was unable to close and lock the room door. My husband was finally able to get the door closed and locked with great difficulty. This would have been a safety concern for me if I was traveling alone.

The room was clean and well kept. The staff was personable an nice to talk with. The room I stayed in had an older heat pump that was making noise beyond what a normal wall heat pump should. Same for the refrigerator it was old and making funny noises in refrigerant system. They should update both appliances when they can afford to. The shower was clean and gave me a nice hot shower. I had some eggs, sausage and a biscuit for breakfast before heading back out on the road.

Staff never returned phone calls, upon arrival there was no one at the front desk and it took a while for someone one to come check us in. The outside doors were not secured, anyone could walk in. Carpet was shredded at the door. Unpleasant experience.

The entire rooms need remodeling. Carpet had a hole in it. There was white particles on the floor as we first walked in, like it had not been vacuued. The door latch did not work properly -- door co9ud be pushed on without a key. Tub had new caulking, but it was a sloppy job. Beds were clean. It was not worth $115.

The website says check-in is at 1. I had a 1pm appointment a I tried calling several times t ask fr an early check in, no one answered any of the times I called. I arrived at 12:45 to be told check in is at 2 but the rooms might not be ready by then. Went to my appointment came back at 2:45 rooms still weren’t ready so front desk transferred us to rooms that were “ready”. There was hair in the shower where the soap goes.and the beds weren’t very presentable. Also the pool and hot tub are not open , which was another question I wanted to ask when I called . And when I asked was told the whole thing needed to be replaced and didn’t know when that would happen.
