We were not given the room type we chose. We called early twice to check if we could check in an hour early so as to get a nap in. We were told yes our room would be ready (it was a Tuesday). Got there and should no only a different room available. It was supposed to be an accessible room and was NOT! Bathroom was difficult to move in; tub difficult to get in and out of! Dangerous!

Great location to Rock Hall, stadiums and theater district. Great staff, fantastic breakfast, comfortable and convenient. Walkable to restaurants, etc. Felt safe walking area at night. Parking lot is right next door. Reasonable parking rate. Would stay here again…

Hotel could use some upgrades (doors and furniture were a little weathered/janky) and the lighting in public areas like the breakfast area was generally a bit dark and dreary. I could 100% hear people in the rooms next to mine and across the hall during late-night hours. Overall, it was worth it to be within walking distance of Playhouse Square, Progressive Field, and other downtown attractions. Felt safe being basically right on CSU campus too.

Booked through third party and they tried to blame that for not having the room type we reserved. They did give us a discount since we had paid more for the specific room type, and gave us a roll away bed. It was terrible. Uncomfortable and made noises every time you moved.

The hotel lobby and hallways felt very dark. It is an old hotel without any charm or character. The bathroom was very small. One person at a time only! The hotel is located within walking distance of theaters, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. We chose it for its location.

A great spot and location. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. We were there for an appt at Cleveland clinic and they were just amazing. It is a quick walk to progressive field and rocket arena. Theater district is right there.

Scarey Elevator Experience

Only issue was the elevator. After selecting a lower floor (from 4th floor) elevator started to move but then stopped. Buttons and displays were no longer luminated and was stuck between floors for approx 5 minutes? I believe it only started to move again because someone from the 1st floor wanted to go up. The elevator started moving again however bypassed the floor I had selected (but that was OK as at least it moved. The gentleman entered to elevator and I told him I was stuck between floors for awhile, and he then told me this happens on this elevator. This occurred at approx 11PM which I was thankful someone wanted to use the elevator otherwise who knows how long I would have been stuck in the elevator.

The location is great for walking to the ballparks and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well. The hotel itself is a little worn. The bedcovers and shower curtain were tattered and worn. Past maintenance had been done poorly and just covered with paint.

The hotel was just okay. The room was on the road side and many emergency vehicle sound in the night didn't allow for a good night sleep. The bathroom exhaust was too noisy. The bathroom door was rubbing against the floor making weird sound. The carpet had a faint urine odor trace. The window AC was noisy too.
