First time staying and overall it was a good experience and we will definitely stay again! Didn’t like that breakfast was $25 and not $16 like advertised! Staff were great especially when we had to switch rooms! The free shuttle was definitely a huge plus!!! Plus having warm cookies was a nice treat!!

Disappointing Stay – Poor Service & Rundown Hotel

I stayed at the Doubletree Cleveland with my three daughters for a dance competition at Huntington convention centre from Thursday to Saturday. Unfortunately, our experience was frustrating from start to finish. Housekeeping never cleaned our room despite multiple requests. When I inquired on Saturday, I was told service was by request, but after making one, nothing was done. At 9 PM, after two follow-ups, the front desk finally admitted housekeeping left at 3 PM. I had to go down myself just to get clean towels. The hotel is rundown and outdated. The restaurant wasn’t open for breakfast as advertised, and the on-site Starbucks doesn’t accept gift cards or the app. The shuttle driver was rude unless tipped, and the parking garage elevator was broken, forcing us to carry luggage up three flights of stairs with no luggage carts available. The staff seemed overwhelmed and indifferent. Overall, this hotel is poorly managed, understaffed, and not worth the price. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Property did not have a pool like stated and did not have a free breakfast. Hotel room bathroom had hair all over the tub and sink. Shower curtain had blood or snot on it. Couldn’t take a bath without having to clean the tub ourselves first. Water pressure for tub only worked well when you run the extremely hot water. Outlet didn’t work well in bathroom and wouldn’t work hair dryer or curling iron. Wallpaper in bathroom is peeling off. Rug in the main room looked very dirty and we couldn’t go barefoot.

Horrible.

Horrible. The parking garage elevator was broken so we had to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs. They knocked 10 off of the parking. Sent us up to our rooms. Come to fund out they were both occupied by other people. We reserved 2 rooms with 2 queens. Ended up getting a room with 1 king and one room with a murphy bed you had to pull down out of the wall. It was a horrible, horrible experience. It took an hour and a half to finally get rooms we could actually sleep in even though it wasnt whay we reserved.

The hotel was a basic room, nothing special. All the room walls and hallways were painted brown giving it a gloomy feel. The tub was rusted and just old. Time to swap it out. Other than that, staff was friendly and shuttle service was a great perk.
