It was Thanksgiving Day, we got to the property and was promptly checked in and received our room. However when we walked in, this was not the upgraded room we paid for ( 1 Bedroom suite), I went to the front desk to inquire and was told that the (1 Bedroom Suite) we paid for and reserved over a week in advance was not available, and that there was nothing they could do because we booked through a third party company. No refund for the difference in the upgraded room price, nothing! Which surprised me with this being in the ( Hilton family). It would just be nice and proper for the front desk to state the issue at check-in, instead of attempting to give us any old room and hope we don’t notice or would just accept a room which is considered a basic room instead of an upgraded one.
Although we could not get the room that we reserved and paid for in advance, I was able to get to Expedia assistance and they were able to assist me with a partial refund payment. They called the hotel on a holiday which I considered over and above, and was able to get “something” done, which I appreciated. Thank you Expedia assistance.
As far as the hotel, the lobby the pool the room was very clean and welcoming. Besides the room issue the front desk did provide us with a few extra toothbrushes and I welcome bag with a few snacks for the children. The gym was open 24/7 and the pool had good hours for the kiddos to enjoy. The parking lot has descent parking, and is lite pretty well.
