Smoke detector hazard

I complained at the front desk that the room I was offered was very cigarette/smokey and the front desk person denied saying I was lying and all rooms are smoke free. I later found out that night the smoke detectors are covered in plastic. This is a risk for guests as the smoke detectors are now considered not working.

my room service was great. they gave me towels and soap each day, made the bed up nicely and even the my dirty cloths nicely into clear bags to make it easy to wash.

This toilet backed up every night I was there. No sense of urgency by the staff. The room smelled as if it was previously a room of heavy smoking. I don’t smoke and narrowed it down to the bathroom. I told the staff and the only reply was “there's no way.” They didn’t have “Do Not Disturb “ signs for housekeeping. There are other things but why bother. If my stay would have been any longer I would have left and paid for a better place. Motel should not equate to subpar. No worries about my ever staying here or any Motel 6. I accept full responsibility for not wanting to pay a higher price for such a short stay. Anyone looking for a place to stay in that area, please remember “ Caveat Emptor.”

Very clean, well maintained and staff was pleasant. I was given a room that knowing had a sticky door issue. I was told it was due to humidity. Humid it was however the door had other frame issues. I was not able to enter or exit the room without a great deal of force. THIS IS A DANGER TO MANY GUESTS AND SHOULD NEVER HAD BEEN ALLOWED AS A RENTABLE ROOM. I would stay here again but would confirm the door worked as it should.
