There was several short straight pieces of hair on the bathroom floor and it did not appear to be clean. There were toothpaste looking spots on the mirror so we did not believe it had been cleaned. The shower curtain didn't look clean either.
We still left a tip in our room because we did not know if the maid that we saw was the same one that cleaned our room before we checked into it and I did let the desk clerk know about the lack of cleanliness.
The place is old and the beds were old and way too soft. Covering on the beds were covered in dog hair and we don’t have one. No local channels ABC, CBS and NBC on tv. One of the female desk clerks with short dark hair was very rude and shouldn’t be working in the hospitality business.
This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Had I had more time I would have checked out and found another hotel. Due to a death in the family, I was tied up in services etc. also, they charged me $30 for early check in upon my arrival. We drove 10 hours and arrived at 1:00pm. Horrible place.
Our second room reeked of smoked and vanilla spray and after they drove 4 hours and had 5 hours of kidney dialysis, they just wanted to come in and relax. Instead we had to pack up our first room and switch with them because the smell was making her sick with her weakened state and the hotel is sold out. For a place stating they are smoke free, they should at least know how to properly clean after someone Does smoke. The air the in room should have been cleaned, not just sprayed, that could kill someone with asthma, like my sister.
