This was a fabulous hotel. Large rooms, clean, walk in shower. Close to train station, taxi stand outside door, walk to town. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Mini fridge. The only thing it didnt have a safety deposit box in the room. Was one of the best hotels we stayed in Europe.

We had a great stay at Hotel Mondego. The rooms are bright and clean, the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Great location. Gustavo at the rooftop bar is great.

Great base for exploring Coimbra
Great mid-sized hotel with stylish rooms, good air-con and easy access to Coimbra's attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful as well. Coimbra is definitely worth a visit - the church and the university are beautiful and it has a very relaxed atmosphere.

Property was renovated 3 years ago. Very clean, large rooms, lots of dining options. Hotel is situated just across Coimbra A train station. Very easy to connect to Coimbra B train station and take other trains in different directions.

The bed was super comfortable with fluffy pillows and a soft, plush blanket. The towels smelled great and I liked the shower products provided. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Mondego. A short bolt journey from the rail station. Convenient location to main attractions. Hotel clean but too much air freshener for us. Lovely bathroom. No kettle in room which I would expect for the rate per night. Don't bother with breakfast which was disappointing.

This place is much smaller than it appears online. And the only view was from the rooftop deck in the bar (which did have a great view). The staff were all very nice, and the bartender was willing to create a new drink that he thought I might like (I did). There is a grocery store about a block away. We got the. Real fast buffet, which included plenty of hot and cold food. The neighborhood seemed a bit run down, which was disappointing, but the hotel was updated, clean, and nicely decorated.

Comfortable, quiet and right across the street from the little Coimbra train station. Even better—they had a top sheet on the bed, great water pressure, easy walk to restaurants and A Capella fado show and the breakfast buffet was fresh and healthy. Highly recommend.
