He had a great stay at Hotel Oslo. The staff was incredibly friendly and so helpful! The room and bathroom were clean, breakfast was a nice addition and the rooftop was heaven!!! There was a lot of road construction nearby which made the area noisy, congested and a bit weary looking. It will be fabulous when this is complete.

Comfortable modern hotel in an excellent location for walking to the lower town. Nice rooftop bar and breakfast room. Good breakfast buffet. Friendly professional staff. Free parking in a garage across the street.

Not told the heat/air was set to heat until we asked at the front desk after the first uncomfortably hot night and found out it needed to be set to cool. Not something that was obvious on an unfamiliar, ceiling mounted unit.

The Oslo is located in a convenient location and the desk clerk was helpful and friendly. They did provide a parking garage across the street, at a cost of 7 euros per day. The parking was a little bit tight but adequate. The shower stall on the other hand was very tight and not adequate at all. It felt like we were staying in a dorm room. If you dropped the soap, the shower door would open when you bend over. They were stingy with the towels and there were really no amenities offered to the guests other than complimentary buffet breakfast, which was varied but nothing special. The Rooftop was one reason we chose this hotel but although the view was nice, it didn't really feel like a welcoming space, and unfortunately, the river view was on the other side of the building. The location is pretty good because you could walk up into the old town or the botanical gardens, and to many restaurants and cafes. We even were able to do some laundry at a laundromat across the street. Out of the 6 hotels we stayed at in different cities in Portugal, the Oslo was not the worst, but maybe came in 5th out of 6, so I would not stay there again.

Great hotel for visiting Coimbra. The staff is really nice, helpful and available. The parking across the street is fantastic. I wouldn’t bring a car into Coimbra without a plan for parking. The breakfast is great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Easy parking in front for checkin then very easy parking across the street included. Also the included breakfast buffet was wonderful. We upgraded the room to 5th floor close to breakfast buffet and drink bar. Nice roof top access for nice weather.

We reserved a superior room at this pet-friendly hotel. When we arrived with our small dog, we were told that that room did not permit pets. We were given a much lesser room but not refunded the difference in price. Our room was unattractive and really needed a renovation. Having said that, the staff was very nice and the hotel was in a convenient location.

Pros: Interior of the hotel is fully renovated with modern furnishings; comfortable bed & linens; secure parking right across the street; beautiful breakfast room with a panoramic view of the old town. Cons: We were given a cramped triple room with a dilapidated tile terrace rather than what we reserved, which was a superior double room with a glass balcony and a panoramic view.

Excellent Hotel in a Fantastic Location

This hotel is top notch! Our amazing experience began with checkin which was efficient, considerate, and helpful. Parking was available across the street and accessible 24 hours a day. Our room was spotlessly clean and well-prepared for our arrival. They even left a doggie treat and blanket which was just so thoughtful and kind. I recommend this hotel to anyone!

Amazing hotel in Coimbra

Excellent hotel with great location, clean and spacious family suite and amazing rooftop with one of the best views of Coimbra. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of hot and cold food. I really recommend for couples for families.
