Solid inexpensive hotel , could use a facelift. The surrounding area is undergoing improvments so you may have construction noise etc for the next 12 months but the location is great - you can walk to everthything - Univ. , Train, Dining and shops . It's not luxury - but if you are only passing through it's great.

The A/C was not very cold. They did have a sign posted in the room that said it didn't go lower than 24 Celsius (75.2F) My husband commented on it at the front desk and they provided an oscillating fan which helped a little.

This IBIS hotel was a great location ! For the price we paid, it was outstanding value ! We only stayed one night as we did not know how much there was to see in Coimbra but we should have stayed 1 more day before making our way to Lagos. Charming town and the hotel was way above expectation. Staff was super friendly and helpful, room was somewhat basic but very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was a small extra but was worth the money. Close to shops and restaurants. Parking underground was a nice plus. Would go back for sure, highly recommended !

It must be part and parcel of staying in big hotels, biut our room was serviced only after 14h30 for three consecutive days. The breakfast was sub Ibis standard- the croissants and petit pain au chocolait was stale and tough. There was only a block of marmalade and no other jams. On two occasions there eere no knives and we had to run about to find someone to provide some. The fresh juices were sugary cordials, not fresh and not juice. We have enjoyed staying in various Ibis Hotels all over the world. This one was disappointing.

Ibis is a short walk to town centre for dining and attractions. Directly opposite is the beautiful riverfront park. Only thinh to be mindful of is the very tight, steep access to the car park. Its a little nervewracking!

Apart from the tricky ramp to the parking, this hotel was perfect for our needs. We coped with the parking with practice, but dont bring a long car. Staff were great and hotel had everything we needed.

Clean comfortable if a little tired.
Brilliant location for a sports event in the park across the road and dinner in town at night. Parking available but very tight. Breakfast was ok. Staff brilliant. Room very small and a little tired but very clean and comfortable.
