Very impressive building, and while the decor was a little dated, it was still very charming and the room was large and comfortable. Centrally located, ideal for exploring Cologne. We'd definitely stay again.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. The room was average and the bathroom didn’t have a fan, which was pretty annoying after a hot shower since there was no window either. The bar “Kölsche stuff” device is definitely sub par. We had to wait 30 minutes before someone took our order and another 20 minutes to get 1 beer. Staff there is not very friendly either. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is ok, but it is the exact same food every day. We liked the location as it is walking distance to the cathedral and all shopping as well as the Christmas markets

Hotel has a great feel about it, and very clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly. If there was anything to mention it would be that breakfast tables were not being cleared and reset as efficiently as they could be. We had a wonderful stay though, thank you

I was sorely disappointed in how the room was assigned/handled. I paid for an upgraded room, and the room was far from upgraded. I was in a room facing a glass and concrete impediment. Don’t pay the upgraded rate just take a standard room. The hotel says it’s renovated but the bed and much of the room is dated. The breakfast buffet was a mess. There were too many people at one time. The food wasn’t replenished quickly. And the food was slopped around the serving bowls and platters. The positive part of the experience was the location to the Christmas markets.

Location was excellent. The property is a little outdated, but the beds are comfortable and the atrium and courtyard were the main features of this hotel. Check out was very slow, but friendly staff. A good place to stay if you want to be central to the DOM. However, a little pricey for what you get.

Great for Christmas Markets!
This hotel was in a perfect location to visit many Christmas Markets! We were easily able to walk to them and the receptionist were very helpful to guide us where to go and highlights to see.
