The building work spoils thd view from the pool and balcony which is unfortunate but not the fault of the Mandarina. No mango at breakfast and limired fresh juices.

We had a lovely room at Mandarina with a small balcony overlooking the houses and gardens. Really nice watching the sunrise and lots of different birds flying around. Breakfast was very good and they had lots of vegetarian options. Special mention to Upekha at the front desk who is an absolute star. She understood our needs perfectly and is very efficient. Overalll location is good, not far from the main sites and malls.

Excellent choice for Colombo. There is a shopping mall across the street. Walkable distance to ශ්‍රී ගංගාරාම මහාවිහාරය (Gangaramaya Temple) in Colombo. Staff here are very attentive and eager to help you with anything. I felt very safe here and the restaurant is delightful.

Our unit toilet stopped working everyday. One day our fresh towels had makeup and dirt from the another person who used it. Food and drink at the buffet is lukewarm if you go too early.

I had originally asked for a quiet room, but was given a room opposite a construction site however, when I asked to be moved, I was moved to the back of the building to a beautiful quiet room, and I was very grateful for this. The staff were very welcoming, kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet was wonderful a real highlight to the morning.

Have A SOBER Stay

Biggest problem - this is a dry hotel. So just to clarify, if you want a glass of wine or beer by the lovely rooftop pool? You cant. Having said that, you can bring your own alcohol in although I am not sure if they will allow you to bring it into the restaurant or the pool areas. Other than that, a really great location, and product and services along the lines of above a Premier Inn, more like a Holiday Inn, Marriot Courtyard or Hilton Gardnen Inn

Perfect stay apart from two issues

I have stayed here before. So room and all accessories were perfect with two exceptions. Bedroom window/door to balcony, looked out on Galle Rd (i.e front facing). However double glazing not at all sound proofed and did not dampen street noises as expected. This is a disappointment. Secondly, TV was unable to pick up any channels telling me to reprogram them but then asking for a pin code. Last time it was the same although last time reception send a tech savvy gentleman to help. I did not have the heart to complain again!

Great Stay at Mandarina Colombo

We had a very comfortable stay at Mandarina Colombo! The team made the check-in process seamless and were very helpful throughout our visit, ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was amazing at the top floor restaurant. The hotel itself is lovely, with great facilities and a pleasant atmosphere. However, as it’s located on a busy main street, be aware that the vehicle noise at night could be a bit of an inconvenience for light sleepers. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo!
