This place is right on the water and is in the perfect location for the price. I had a great time at the River Edge Inn. Also the staff is spectacular. They were so welcoming and so helpful. 10/10 experience! I will be back.

Very nice hotel on the beach with a pool that we had to ourselves the whole week. The only thing i didnt like were the picnic tables outside our room because other people would sit there at 6am in the morning and late at night smoking which we smelled in our room, talking, laughing and coughing so loud that they woke us up every morning. We are on vacation and prefer not to get woken up that early. Very annoying. And the people at the front desk barely speak english which is also annoying. Loved watching the fireworks from the hotel and there was also a carnival right behind us that was nice. We will be back!

This as a ‘value’ stay. We were not expecting Ritz-Carlton, and we didn’t get it for <$150/night. While acceptably clean, it had the residual odor of cleaning products. It would take several towels to really dry off; we got two. No coffee maker but short walk to lobby at 7am for decent coffee and, ah, breakfast? It was okay, and okay enough that we’ll come back for a one-two day stay.

Ownersvhave plans to start renovating for room upgrades in October 2025 & be done by December 2025. New bathroom & special room amenities to include iron, ironing board & in-room coffee maker. Staff is super friendly & accommodating to requests. Located right on boardwalk. Just steps to the beach and restaurant w/tiki bar & stage for live performances.

This hotel is near a golf cart community area beach. The fair sets up literally next door. Beach is right there (2 steps down and cross a side walk).

Check in @3…didn’t get a room till after 6pm… Pool bands distributed….pool area was overrun by street people from boardwalk…no property enforcement…couldn’t use the pool. NOTHING LIKE THE PRIOR OWNERS

This is a good property. Very basic and minimal. The staff was very nice, allowed us a late check out which was nice. Has a Pool but we didn’t get a chance to use it. Right on the beach and boardwalk which is very convenient. They do offer continental breakfast, we didn’t wake up in time but was nice to have the option. No ocean view rooms, but had a nice little picnic table outside the room to enjoy some fresh air. I would stay again.

When I first went to Colonial Beach, River Edge Inn was the Days Inn. They remodeled and changed the name. The rooms were nice and immaculate. The staff was wonderfully pleasant. I will always stay at River Edge Inn.

We Love Colonial Beach! River Edge Inn Is AMAZING!

Our company came out for an event to do as a vendor. The hotel was good about letting us check in late & check out late. We even left some of our equipment in the room & they held it for us for an entire week until we could make it back there to get it The location was amazing, right on the beach & by the boardwalk. The offered free breakfast. The waffles were amazing, but the chocolate filled doughnuts were to die for, although I should have had the fruit and yogurt. We were able to get coffee all hours in the cafe. The pool was clean and a nice relaxing area. Definitely our spot when we come back to Colonial Beach. It is literally close to everything so you can walk, no need to drive. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful with whatever questions we had about the event going on and finding things nearby. We even watched the fireworks from the hotel parking lot.

Room smelled really bad and there was a big dead bug under the bed. The Inn has a great location but is in desperate need of renovations. I will stay again after those are done.
