Grounds where emaculate. Castle was small but beautiful. Trails where from easy to somewhat challenging. However, this is a NO alcohol establishment, it is prohibited. If you want a drink nearest bars are around 3-6 miles away.
Beautiful setting with bountiful breakfast every morning! I feel rejuvenated after my 3 day stay. I hiked on their trails and hung out in there hammocks or in their gardens or on the castle patio. I only needed to leave the property for my dinner meal. There is lots to do nearby, but I have visited this area often, so felt no need to leave for entertainment.
Beautiful location with impeccable grounds. We encountered a volunteer host and he was so knowledgeable, we much enjoyed learning more about the history of the castle and appreciated his friendliness. We had two rooms that were newly renovated with so much character and pristine upkeep. The breakfast was also excellent with a large variety.
Stayed in the castle…had one minor maintenance issue but the staff were fairly quick to respond. The rooms are historic…would have loved a king sized bed instead of queen but I think queen is the biggest they offer. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful! So fun to read about the history of the castle as well.
Our stay was so relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was so helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing, and the grounds are beautiful. We will definitely be back.
I love visiting here. It’s beautiful and serene. People are always so welcoming and friendly.

Beautiful w/tiny Bathroom
The grounds and common area were stunning. The service was exemplary and the breakfast (included) was excellent.
I had two criticisms of the property.
1. The rooms were very dated.
2. The bathroom (toilet/shower area) was so tiny that you had to climb in the tub in order to close the door.
Absolutely incredible! Comfort, peace, history, unique, etc….
Right next to Garden of the Gods.

This is a very different kind of property- multiple lodgings at varying price & decor/amenity levels. This room was in a basement with a small window looking out at a beautiful sandstone formation - NOT happy I didn’t have the advertised “Mountain View” from a basement but sure, there was scenery. Lots of noise from adjacent rooms! Very comfy bed & nice bathroom. It’s an expansive property - The Uber driver couldn’t find this particular lodge
Property was very well maintained, kind staff, castle was beautiful and pretty well maintained. Good sights to see everywhere and plenty of of history to learn.
Absolutely stunning grounds to walk, hike, relax or meditate. You are almost right in the Garden of the Gods! Staff is so welcoming and informative. Rooms in lodges are dorm style basic, clean and comfortable. Castle rooms are well appointed and you will feel you’ve travelled back in time. The icing on the cake is the delicious breakfast served that is part of your stay!

I got totally mislead by Expedia. Thought I was getting a room in a castle with a view, of the Garden of the Gods… well, I’m in the basement of a religious convention center, and I have a view of a metal culvert underneath the parking lot. Classic bait and switch, I’ll be reporting it to the attorney general once I get home.
