Okay for an overnight
A fairly new and nice property, orientation is odd , the back of the hotel faces Gervais street ( the google address and directions) and the entrance is actually facing another street behind . Staff was largely absent except the nice young woman at check in who claimed they were aware of the confusion re: the address but there was nothing they could do about it. Breakfast was mediocre but better than some we’ve seen. Room was comfortable and bathroom/ shower were nice.

This place was a gem. Location, price, southern hospitality, easy parking and modest but useful breakfast and evening drinks options on the lobby fIoor. Indoor pool looked great too. I generally choose Hyatt Place properties and found this one up to their usual high standards. This is a high-quality 3-star hotel that I would definitely stay at again and recommend to others.

The mattress was squeaky when you sat on it. Loud street noise until after 11pm. Staff was very responsive and pleasant. Decor is very nice. Room set-up was so comfortable. Lots of good details.

We stayed at the hotel because we were attending a show at the Colonial Life Area and did not want to drive home after the performance. Check in time was 3:00 pm we arrived just after 2:00 pm because there had been no traffic during our journey. The lady at the desk said it would cost $25 if we wanted to check in early!!!! I said I would wait in the lobby instead. The lot for self-parking at $18 was full but valet parking was offered at the same amount so I had someone park my car. About 2:30 pm, I noticed that two couples were getting their keys and not paying an additional $25. The front desk lady said those people had checked in online, but she would "let me" check in before 3:00. If we had arrived at 9:00 am or very early, I could understand requiring additional money for an early check in. But, less than an hour?? I have traveled all over the world and stayed in many different hotels. No one has EVER required money if I arrived a little before check in time when a room was available. Ridiculous! While the hotel was lovely, comfortable and convenient, short people might have a difficult reaching the bath towels that are store HIGH in the shower. Make sure you get one down or have someone get one down for you.

Extended our stay 2 more weeks as house being remodeled/repaired. Staff here is very hospitable & can’t do enough to make it easy for us. This is obviously a well managed facility & employees are exceptional in every way! Hyatt is my new favorite hotel. I just wish pets were more segregated.

Stay was just ok.
The place is ok. We were here visiting USC. Location is perfect but hotel could use some deep cleaning and updates. Mattress was horrible, bathroom had some issues, and the breakfast was just ok. Staff was very pleasant and helped with food recommendations.
