In general the level of cleanliness was great on the surface but the property really struggled to demonstrate deeper clean like mildew mold on window units, dank smells in the room, etc. the staff were wonderful but our family has high sensitivity to allergies, etc. and this makes it difficult for us to give 4 stars. 3 is for average given it was what I would expect in a southern town like Columbia with high humidity. On par with most older buildings yet appeared newer in construction. Also, staff service was wonderful and kind.

Clean, affordable but not totally comfortable
We were there for a graduation at Fort Jackson. Which means, long days out of the room, leaving early & coming back later in the evening. The area isn’t the greatest looking but we never felt unsafe. The staff was very nice from the moment we checked in. The room was small but clean although you could tell the towels & bedding were aged. The bed was not comfortable, the mattress was sagging & we all awoke with sore backs & not just from our long days! The do have a breakfast but we left each day to get to base before he began. For the price point & the amount of time spent in the room, it’s not bad. If you are looking for more comfort, then you may want to pay a bit more. It was VERY clean & housekeeping came in daily which was wonderful!!!

Room was clean, beds and linens clean. Thought it was over priced considering the TV didn’t connect to internet. Had all the options of a smart Tv but only local channels and had bad reception on it. Breakfast was awesome. Staff ignored you at the counter though unless you rang the bell. Also, thought it was creepy that there were cameras in front of the door leading into the individual rooms.
