When checking in the guy presented me with a for that he requires all guests to sign: There is a $250 charge if you smoke in the room; $250 charge if you have a pet that has issues; $75 charge for damages to room….you get the idea. I ask him to show me a room…the carpets are worn in hall and the room had a bad odor so I asked him to show me different room. The 2nd room smelled better but still had an odor. So I told him I won’t sign his form of penalties because with the rooms already having an odor I am hesitant to stay because he could potentially charge hundreds of dollars more. I said I would like to cancel my reservation. He encouraged me to go back through Expedia since I had booked it through them. Expedia reached out via phone and emailed and we’re not able to get my money refunded back. So that $109. My mom and I would not recommend anyone staying at this Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbia Fort Jackson 1520 Barbara Drive, Columbia SC 29223.

The room temperature was comfortable as was the beds. We didn't have the breakfast du to time and those working the front desk were pleasant and strives to make sure we had what we needed in a timely manner. Friendly and helpful staff

The furniture and the bathroom furniture everything was need repaired the water pressure in the bathroom shower didn't come out properly and they gave us the room with a full size bed instead of a queen size bed and they gave us any option we had our room to reserved and it wasn't the correct one all the TV small

The hotel was not clean. The bathroom smelled like mold and there was noticeable repairs needed. Ended up checking out the same day and booking another hotel.

The bed was surprisingly comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a long day. The room itself was decent and well-equipped for the price, with amenities that met my needs without any fuss. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which added a welcoming touch to the stay. I also appreciated how neat and well-maintained the grounds were—it gave the whole property a peaceful, cared-for feel. The location was a bonus: within walking distance to several restaurants and not far from the destination I needed to access. Overall, a solid choice for a restful, budget-friendly stay.

Horrible place that has false advertisement

This was a horrible place to ever come to. If I could give zero stars I would. Came here and later on was told that I had to pay another fee after I had already booked the room for the night. I tried to get another hotel booked due to the false advertisement at this hotel and was then told that they don’t give refunds. What if that person only had but so much money to spend then you tell them that they have to pay extra? So I then paid because I can’t get a refund. Now my deposit is still pending and it’s a Tuesday smh when I get to the room it smells like straight up underarms like whoever was in there last don’t wear deodorant or something it was disgusting. I would never recommend to anybody I know. I would tell them to go elsewhere.

Nastiest Hotel I Ever Seen

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! This hotel was so filthy, its shameful to charge people to ATTEMPT TO book here. Before checking in there , I noticed what looked like pubic hair on the check in counter. I immediately asked for a refund and they refused. I spoked with Hotels.com and the manager refused to return their call. I did not stay at this hotel, I refused to checked in and they refused to refund my money.
