The property was old, dirty and in disrepair. If I had not already paid for the night online. I would have stayed elsewhere. The room was dirty, the beds were well used and they used an air freshener that was overpowering and aggravated my allergies. The hotel really is not worth the amount charged and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This will be the last time I stay in a Days Inn.

The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The images do not match the property. The property is incredibly run down and smells bad. Our room did not, but our neighbors room had insects. It served the purpose, but we will not stay here again.

When we came for “breakfast” (white bread, stale cereal, packaged muffins, oatmeal, coffee, juice, no butter or jam), we were not greeted. The “breakfast” was not what was described online or in the info in our rooms. The sheets had cigarette burns/holes in them. Our key stopped working and the toilet wouldn’t flush…both were fixed very quickly.

I have not stayed in a room this dirty since a teen at Panama City Beach. Woke up our last morning with a cricket in the bed.. Property not kept up. No towel or maid service. Appears they add caulk to any problem.

Refund request

I am requesting a full refund for my recent booking at the Days Inn in Starkville, MS (made through Hotels.com). The room provided was unsafe, unsanitary, and unfit for occupancy. Key issues included: • Multiple electrical outlets not working, including near the bed. • No in-room telephone to contact the front desk. • Entry door that did not seal, leaving gaps for outside air and light. • Mold, mildew, rust, and general filth throughout the room and bathroom. • A refrigerator with heavy ice and rust buildup. • Trash and debris around the property exterior. Most concerning, at check-in an ozone machine had been running in the room — a device typically only used for severe contamination. Ozone exposure is unsafe, and this raised serious health concerns. Because my stay coincided with a major football game in town, relocating was not a realistic option; other hotels were fully booked or priced far outside a reasonable range. I am attaching photos that clearly document these conditions. Given the state of the room and property, I expect Hotels.com to issue a full refund.
