Needs pressure washing and updating

It was just a quick overnight stay. When we pulled up, I was very concerned, it was advertised as an updated hotel but the exterior is in dire need of pressure washing and paint. It was also a little cluttered looking with old plants and chairs. You could tell at one time it has been updated, but not in the past decade or so

Enjoyed our stay. The pull out bed, expected to not be comfortable, was in fact very uncomfortable. Perhaps a foam topper could help. Otherwise, great stay!

Older, historic boutique hotel; off-street parking or lot around the corner. No amenities on site but very close to restaurants in walking distance. Very convenient if visiting MSU campus. Bed soft and comfortable, good shower pressure and nice A/C temp regulation

We had an an amazing stay in a comfortable room with a balcony right in the middle of downtown. The room had an individual feel to it, not cookie cutter design like other hotel rooms, and had all the amenities we needed. I highly recommend Hotel Chester!

Hotel Chester is right in the middle of downtown Starkville and walkable to downtown restaurants and the MSU campus. The rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable and were half the price of other options that were less convenient. The staff was friendly. I was not there during a busy time (middle of the week outside the school year), but there was amble parking by the hotel and no noise to speak of.
