The experience my partner and I had during our night was terrible. After midnight on Saturday 2/14/26, there was no parking. There were about 3 spots available but were covered in snow. I walked inside to let the employee, Dustin, know about the situation. He told me the hotel across from there would allow us to park at their site. I walked over to the next door hotel and the lady working said that is not allowed. I walked back to Dustin to let him know and he was clueless as what to do next. He offered no help after. I was left with nothing to do. My partner then promoted to speak to Dustin, in which he provided my partner with a note that said “they can park here,” meaning we can park at an unofficial parking spot in front of the hotel. He also said the general manager, Al Schreiber, was unavailable to be contacted. My partner and I were afraid of getting our car towed. There was no guarantee our car would be safe. I walked back inside to talk to Dustin, in which he handed me a shovel in a frustrated way to shovel snow from a parking spot myself. My partner and I were left speechless. After a long time, my partner and I waited outside in the cold until a parking spot finally opened up. I wish I can get my refund back after this experience.

The staff was courteous. However, the room was a little disappointing. The toilet seat was cracked and appeared to have been glued back together. It actually hurt to sit on it. It also looked very old and worn out. One of the beds wasn't made very well. The bed skirt was hanging down and the room was disappointing for a Marriott property. There was no hair dryer in the room. I had to call down with wet hair to ask for one. She said they would have to steal one from another room and I would have to come down and pick it up. I convinced them to bring it to me. I just gotten out of the shower. They did bring it to me. The shampoo, conditioner and body soap were fine, but there was no lotion. I expect to have lotion in the room.

Room was clean, took more than 24 hours to get temperature down from 75. Lights over one bed need replacement bulbs. Breakfast was ample, same choices Saturday and Sunday. Would appreciate a little more variety. Staff friendly, courteous and welcoming.

Overall, the room was spotless. Honesty, as my wife and i were tired and attended with family health issues at Ross Heart Hospital, we may have missed a spot. But seriously the room was in great shape!

The hotel was a mad house with parties in the hall ways and slamming doors and screaming and running throughout rooms the first two nights with the madness not ending until 5 in the morning both nights. The common areas were trashed with beer cans and trash so that you couldn't eat breakfast in the mornings. We booked the hotel for the shuttle to the hospital and they refused to operate it even though many were depending on it for various cancer surgeries. Front desk said they would work with management to get us a ride to surgery and then could never find that employee that made that promise until the day we checked out and the look on his face said it all as I tried to explain our stay to management which was the first time i had seen management throughout the whole stay. We booked for three nights and my wife refused to go back for the third night instead deciding she would get more sleep just trying to find a place to sleep at the hospital. Worst stay ever our intention to relax and have piece of mind by staying so close to the James hospitals ended up being an expensive torture and was not what we needed night before such a scary and life changing surgery. If zero stars was an option it would have been to high of a rating.
