We celebrated our wedding anniversary and we booked a comfortable, spacious suite with great furnishings, coffee machine and fabulous view of the castle and church. We particularly liked the radio playing as we entered the suite. It created a calm atmosphere. Parking and food (evening meals) were also excellent. We would have given a 5 star rating but for the following: No wardrobe in bedroom, only drawers Pillows too soft Didn’t like the open plan bedroom/bathroom as I like more privacy in the bathroom personally I would have preferred the toilet in the bathroom rather than outside of the bedroom Windows need attention as gaps let cold air in There is a lack of plug sockets in the suite, the one in the bedroom is not near a mirror so we had to use the two in the living space for the hairdryer, which were by the mirror Nowhere to put toiletries in the shower Sadly an alarm went off in the building at 7:30 am on Saturday 4th October which was slightly disconcerting We would return but probably try a cheaper room next time.

Nice hotel, vey conveniently located and a great car park, which is a huge plus in Conwy. Bedroom was comfortable and warm, but it was noisy given it was on the front of the hotel. Nice food with a good choice of menu. Above all it was the staff that made it a great stay. They were all so friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property within walking distance of the castle. Parking was free, in the back of the hotel, although it required driving through a very narrow passageway. Our room was gorgeous.

Lovely Hotel

Very nice hotel some rooms at the front are a little noisy because of the original windows this would probably only affect you if you're a light sleeper, no lift so ask for help with your luggage.

The property was very well situated in the heart of Conwy, easy access to everything. The only issues we had was due to scaffolding outside our bedroom window and work being carried out for the two days we were there. Directly outside of our window we were woken at 6:30am with banging , unable to sleep this happened the two mornings we were there and were unable to open our curtains due to workmen outside. No apologies for any inconvenience were given . The second day the whole hotel had machinery in cleaning all the carpets and floors, at no stage we were pre warned of this situation . We ordered a pacific drink the first night , the barmen made the drink , we ordered another one with dinner . Second night requested the drink and the girl flatly refused and said you only order from the list given at the bar. When I mentioned that we had this last night she wasn’t even going to help so therefore ordered a different drink . No apologies at all. The day we checked out we noticed on our billing we were charged 10% on the restaurant bill as a tip. No indication this was even asked just taken. I mentioned to management regarding working on the scaffold and he never once said , sorry for any inconvenience caused. Very disappointed.

Ideally located for visitors travelling by train and planning to see the historic sights of Conwy. The hotel has a unique charm with lots of antique furnishings in the hallways. Take the breakfast option!

I was hugely impressed by this hotel. Physically it's a characterful building. It's well looked-after, it's got a really good restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful without tipping over into being intrusive. They have sensible car-parking arrangements and the setting, in the centre of Conwy is only 5 minutes' walk from the castle. I enjoyed Conwy as a town very much as well - pretty and with shops you actually want to go to. I toured through Canterbury, Whitby, Conwy and Hay-on-Wye last week. The Castle Hotel was the most expensive that I stayed in but by far the best value.

The whole weekend was a success from the accommodation to the service. The staff couldnt do enough for you. The food was excellent and all freshly cooked offering a good selection. The staff were freindly, helpful and made sure we were comfortable. The castle is well situated for all the attractions that you would want to see in Conwy. The room was a good size and very clean. I would definitely recommend

The staff were excellent. The rooms were lovely and spacious. We had a dog friendly room which was really lovely. The food was delicious, the hotel is centrally positioned in Conwy. I would highly recommend a stay at this Hotel. We will return again the near future.
