We found the Alander to be way more than we expected. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was incredible. The restaurant on the premises was amazing. We had a great meal and the service was both friendly and efficient. We will probably be back when we are in the area. We highly recommend this property!

A find on NY-22 in Copake

We very much enjoyed our stay! The North Star restaurant is truly a STAR. There is not a thing on the menu we would not order! Service perfect. Our only complaint is the mattress was much too soft. We would certainly return though if only for the North Star. Met one of the owners who was delightful! Hats off for the renovation that has been undertaken.

The room had cob webs with bugs and spiders in it. There other things that were a nice touch like the complimentary yogurt and homemade granola. The bathroom fixtures were worn and chipping. I would not categorize it as a boutique lodge. It’s more of a refurbished motel.

This place was quaint and cozy. We enjoyed using the fire pit while we sipped on wine purchased from a nearby winery that day. The restaurant was amazing- great HH pricing on apps. Delicious gourmet dinner!! Great staff. Don’t miss the experience!

I was in the area for a wedding so only stayed for a brief overnight. Great communication by the owners. Room was large, charming, and clean. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. One thing is to download directions to the hotel and how to get into your room prior to your arrival as cell service in the area is spotty. Once there, it is not a problem as they have excellent WiFi

I believe they are charging way too much for the stay. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable and sags to the center as soon as you lay down. . Found the electric locks confusing. The bathroom can definitely use some help. The checking process is not easy. The water collects in the tub and shower curtain is dirty. Lot to write. I suggest finding other place to stay.

A lovingly and beautifully restored old motel that now has a very European vibe. Real glasses! China mugs! An electric kettle! A French press coffee maker! And no Wal-Mart motel art! Loved the moose shower curtain. Definitely a gem here. Also: great wi-fi, comfortable bed, gratis granola and yogurt, and at least 4 sweetener choices! The owners have done a fabulous job.
