Very disappointing stay. Don’t expect any hotels.com premium acknowledgements as they were not even aware of Premium status . Room was very small with weight-bearing post in the middle of the small room. The rate was high but typical of the area, service low…and nearly the worst of my many hotel experiences through hotels.com

I was a little hesitant to book here based on some mixed reviews, but I’m very glad that I did. My daughter and I actually stayed here twice, for one night at the beginning of our trip before getting on our cruise to Norway and then stayed another night after we disembarked the ship and before we flew home. We stayed one night in a room not overlooking the canal which was fine, especially because we were tired after a long flight so didn’t care too much about a view. We did upgrade to a canal view room for the other night we stayed and I was glad we did- very nice view but also quiet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location could not have been better - quick walk to Nyhavn and to lots of great restaurants and other attractions and to a metro stop (which we took to the main train station to catch the train to Malmo, Sweden… that was a very easy and lovely day trip we did on our final day). The hotel was clean and very quiet. The restaurant aye aye was a little pricy but we had a very good dinner. The one worry that I had after reading reviews was that the room might not be cool enough for sleeping - reviewers complained that the AC did not really work. I have to say that I actually slept fine, despite being someone who normally gets hot while sleeping and the AC (I’m not sure if it’s actually AC or just some sort of air circulation but you can control it within your room) was not very cold or powerful … but again, I actually slept just fine both nights.

Just returned from a three night stay at the admiral hotel. I was there with my two teenage sons. We stayed in a duplex room which slept three people very comfortably. The best part about this hotel is the location. It’s right on the water and it was a beautiful week in Copenhagen so everybody was out swimming and dancing right on the stairs leading down to the water. We can watch everything from our hotel room right outside. It can sometimes stay a little noisy at night, but it was nice hearing everyone staying out late. It probably would not be ideal for a person who has problems with steep stairs. We did not eat hereWe would definitely stay here again.

The Admiral is a lovely property. The location is walk able and quite close to many attractions, including the Nyhavn area. The room was clean and a nice size. They have a terrific terrace out by the harbor, which is perfect for a morning coffee and croissant.

The Admiral Hotel, currently undergoing renovations, is in a wonderful location - walking distance to many attractions. I traveled with my family and all of us felt very safe walking back to the hotel in the evenings. We did have breakfast one day in the hotel - a wide variety of buffet options - all delicious. We stayed in one of the loft rooms which was lovely and the space was adequate for 3 of us. The staff - from front desk, room service, housekeeping, dining - ON EVERY OCCASION was exceedingly helpful, kind, and professional,

The nicest hotel I’ve been to. Clean, recently remodeled. My room had big exposed beams. Right on the harbor. Nice restaurant and bar. Best breakfast buffet ever. Staff was over the top nice. Take the boat tour with Luca!

08/11/25 The location of the Admiral is great. It is situated on the Nyhavn waterfront, is close to a number of sites and very quiet. It was a great respite from some of the busy streets we saw during the day. There is ongoing construction going on but not noticeable. There is a new D.R. and the patio on the water is very nice. It would have been nice to have a larger seating area downstairs for guests. However, our overall rating is based specifically about a safety issue on our floor. Service: The reception desk staff is very friendly & attentive. We understand the cleaning staff has a very tough job. However, we are very tidy guests and left the room organized each day but it was obvious that housekeeping barely did cursory cleaning as a result. Condition of Room and Hallways: Our room was very spacious but the carpeting had stains and could have easily been cleaned. The hallway carpeting was also dire condition and should be replaced. Safety: We were situated on the top floor and we thought we were in a storage area. For some reason all of the linen carts were situated all along the hallway at night blocking the areas under the arches outside of rooms. We even had a large linen cart right in front of our door which could block a fast exit in care of an emergency. We knew the route to the elevators but didn’t see an exit sign where our room was. The lighting could be improved too. This is a safety & fire hazard and should be addressed immediately.

Good choice

Convenient location: Walking distance to many attractions and metro/bus stations. Room size: Very small with limited walking space and storage for luggage, but clean and newly renovated. Bathroom: The shower has a glass panel covering half the space, but the other half is open, which can cause water overflow if the water stream is too strong. Took some time to figure out how to prevent flooding. Bedding: Clean white bed sheets. Staff: Friendly and helpful, with smooth check-in/check-out process. AC: A bit noisy, but not disruptive after a day of exploration.
