This comment may not be unique to Imperial hotel, but the shower/bath tub iis so clean that it is slippery and the bath tub wall was relatinely high in height. To avoid a fall, I took a bath. The soap , shampoo, consitioner dispensers were located at a height for a person standing taking a shower.

Helpful staff. Reliable for calling taxi. Convenient for transit, restaurant, walking distance to grocery store, there’s a kettle for hot water to have tea and coffee. The downfall is the shower. The water will splash out that make the floor wet. I have to sit down to take the shower to avoid splashing. Do not go on the 6th floor if you have heavy luggage as there are few steps of stairs

Weekend stay in Copenhagen

The hotel is undergoing a makeover and so floors 1 & 2 were out of action. Our room was great very spacious and comfortable and did look as though the room was fairly new. We had everything we needed in here. The location is fantastic as it is literally 5 mins walk from the Tivoli main entrance. It is also right by a train station and so really easy to get around the city. We actually ended up walking everywhere although we caught a cruise to see the little mermaid which is further out of the city. The Rosenberg castle and botanical gardens are a 20 mins walk away. There are plenty of restaurants and bars close by and a 7/11 across the road from the hotel. Breakfast was included and was varied and we had no trouble getting a table in the morning.

Besvikelse trots bra läge, lever inte upp till 4*

Hotellets läge är bra, nära till centrala Köpenhamns sevärdheter. Rummen håller standardnivå men är väldigt små, även familjerummen på 24 kvm för tre vuxna. Vid incheckning försökte personalen ge oss ett mindre rum än det vi bokat. När jag påpekade det fick jag höra att “rummen är lika stora”, vilket inte stämde. Efter påtryckning fick vi rätt rum. Receptionens bemötande var generellt oengagerat och inte särskilt välkomnande. Det gav ett dåligt första intryck och levde inte upp till den professionalism man kan förvänta sig av ett 4-stjärnigt hotell enligt europeisk standard. Vatten till gäster borde finnas tillgängligt i lobbyn eller på rummet, en enkel men viktig gest, särskilt i ett land där kranvattnet är fullt drickbart. Plus i kanten för den intilliggande restaurangen, där personalen var mycket trevlig, liksom städpersonalen. Om det enda man söker är närhet till stadskärnan och en plats att sova, kan hotellet fungera. Men priset motsvarar inte förväntningarna vad gäller standard och service. Tyvärr kan jag inte rekommendera hotellet i nuläget, främst på grund av receptionens bemötande och att det saknades grundläggande service
