Nice hotel

Hotel was a little walk from "downtown". But the hotel was quiet, clean and the front desk was very helpful. They held our bags at the end of our trip until we were ready to leave. Let us check in and go into our room at 10am with no extra charge. Sometimes the wait for the elevator would take a few minutes but that wasnt a big issue. About a 15 minute easy walk from the train station. But no issues here and would stay again.

Absolutely not a 4* and dirty as anything

This I in no way a 4* hotel. It was filthy. It was 28 degrees and they gave us a small desk fan to cool the room down, the windows didn’t open properly. The access to the pool is not free - unless you have a swimming cap, which no one tells you, you have to have. Otherwise you can pay for the caps and then share half the pool with teachers conducting lessons. Staff were unbelievably unfriendly and totally unhelpful.

We were on the 5th floor and when you came out of the lift the carpet was dirty and coming away from the metal piece. There was a deep hole in the wall and plaster was coming off the walls in some places. In the bathroom the handrail in the bath was unsafe as it was coming away from the wall. We reported this twice but nobody came to fix it.

Excellent safety features in bathroom - roughened surface on bottom of bath and grab bars. Bed with very comfortable mattress and bedlinen Kettle in room and plentiful tea and coffee supplies. A requested refrigerator was supplied for my medication. Reception desk staff friendly and very helpful and willing to please

The location was a short walk from the city center, but the building itself was old and worn down. The toilet didn’t work in our room, which we didn’t find out until in the middle of the night. No compensation or apologies given. Luckily they had another room we got keys to, to use the bathroom, and of course it was at a different floor and opposite end. Doors slam very loudly, trash was collected outside on the street at 5am. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
