The front desk staff were not to inviting. In fact, one staff member was a bit rude. Location was good and there are quite a few restaurants in that area. Hotel interiors and rooms are updated and comfortable.

Hotel staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent. We ordered room service 3 of the 5 nights we were there and every meal was incredibly delicious. But best of all the location was perfect! Very short (10 minutes or less) walking distance to lots of great restaurants, pubs and shopping. We even walked to the train station (only 12 minutes) to visit Cobh, a great seaside town just 1/2 hour ride from Cork.

Great location, clean , everything worked, really friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Shower excellent and regular towel changes. Only minor comment was that the air conditioning did not go below 19 C and the window only opened a fraction for safety.

While the property and the location were quite good, I didn't particularly care for the service. Their restaurant is subpar, breakfast was horrible and needs upgrading. We spent 9 nights at this hotel, frequented the restaurant quite a bit and received a terrible visit on our last night there. We asked for a table in the restaurant and were told that since we didn't "book" we had to sit in the bar area. It was really noisy in there. When I looked into the restaurant, there were empty tables (?). THEN, they closed the partition between the restaurant and the bar.......to keep the noise level from going into the restaurant???? That was a low blow for me. I wanted to let the server know how offended I was but spoke to the manager instead. We wanted a quick and easy last meal as we had to get up the next morning for an early flight......yes, spending 9 days in a hotel only to be treated with such disrespect.
