Style over substance. Lovely design but no wardrobe, no dressing table, no chest of drawers. Had to ask for an iron and ironing board. Can't cook a rare steak it was super overdone and ruined the whole meal. No room service when the restaurant is shut. Isn't that the point of room service. Under staffed in restaurant. Long waits for food even when done properly. Breakfast is good. Potatoes with everything. No snacks in the bar. Could do with better duvets and pillows. Very noisy on train station side. Make sure you are not on that side if staying here. Last night there was heavy drilling as they repaired a train in the station. Apparently no laws against this. The staff are very friendly. Enjoyed stay in spite of all the problems

Lovely hotel. Pity about the noise

Modern, stylish hotel, right by the train station in Cork. Great location and staff very accommodating for an early check in as I had an early flight. Bed was comfy but the pillows were terrible! Really surprising for a 4 star hotel. More annoying was the poor soundproofing of the room. The bar is very loud until midnight and we could hear outside noise as well as excited guests coming home, crashing past our room at 2 am! If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you, at least on the weekend.

Loved our stay at The Dean Cork. Clean, well appointed rooms and plenty of amenities. Hotel is in a great location close to the train station and walking distance to the city centre. Will definitely return!

The hotel itself was fine but it is right next to the railroad station and very noisy trains run by all night. The provide earplugs.

Highly Recommended

This was my first stay at The Dean Cork, I had a great time. The hotel is in an excellent location beside the train station and only a 5 minute walk to Cork city centre. The staff were amazing and no request was too big or small. Sophies roof top bar and restaurant has an excellent variety of food and drinks, especially the cocktail menu. As a guest, you also have access to the hotels Power Gym, pool, sauna and steam room, which is a great feature for a city centre hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and had plenty of space with a fully stocked mini bar. The only draw backs are that the room didnt have much in the way of storage capacity and there is no onsite parking. Parking is available in the train station next door for an additional fee. Overall I would highly recommend The Dean Cork to anyone thinking of exploring Cork.

We were disappointed that we were put in a handicapped room without being told. The sink was way to low and the shower had nothing to retain the water. The room needed a luggage rack at the very least as there were no d rawers or shelves to unpack. We had breakfast in the restaurant and that was a good experience.

We took the train to Cork and the hotel was a quick walk away. (Use the down ramp at the station, it has a lift if you need it). It was a nice room, well decorated, a little tight for what I am used to but the sauna and pool made up for that easily. The city was in walking distance. Being so close to the train, we decided to take a ride to Cobh for the afternoon and evening. I think this hotel had a wonderful vibe and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

So much space! Modern and stylish, great location and staff was helpful in setting up Black Cab tour (highly recommend). Lots of restaurants right out the doors and walkable to many of the tourist sites. Felt like we were living in Belfast, not just visiting. Free laundry was a nice touch!

Excellent staff

a newish, modern designed hotel with many amenities (gym, restuarant etc.) Room was comfortable and location was central to transportation around the city of Cork. Staff is young and friendly and answered all our questions. THe ONLY down side was that our room was facing the Train station and it was a little noisy from the train horns which they blew off entering and leaving the station. Does not go on all night though so we slept well

Located next to the train station and near buses, The Dean is an easy walk into town. The Hotel is easy to access for day trips if driving. Hotel was clean and staff friendly. There is construction nearby, but we did not notice excessive noise and are light sleepers.
