The only thing I didn’t like is it had no elevator everything else was good
Overall okay just needed a place to sleep but they require a 100.00 deposit which is not stated until you arrive. The front desk helped me out with the deposit so beware.
This hotel is definitely not handicap friendly. Way too many stairs to climb just to get to their considered first floor. When we got there, the curtains were all unmatched into the floor and it didn’t cover the windows very well. Need an extra lamp on the desk so we had to move it. Found a kids shoe in there, which means I did not clean very well and the toilet kept stopping up. The at the desk said they were going to try to get us a discount, but I haven’t heard anything yet. They changed management and management took out the ice machine on one side of the building so we have to go down the stairs and up another flight of stairs just to get ice. Even the workers don’t understand why The manager is changing things when nothings wrong. The best out of anything was Jessica the front desk. She was sweet as can be very attentive apologize for everything and was supposed to email the manager to try to get me a discount. Hopefully, we can get that done.
Is a colorful hotel that might make you second-guess from the outside but the rooms are quite nice and I slept quite well on the bed. Speak heavily to the shower is big enough to sleep in and very nice.

The AC was not cooling very well. It was leaking in the room. But the room was very clean and smelled clean.
It was good. Got to enjoy walkinf on the beach, which wasn't far from the room, which was neach view amazing. We did get some rain but was still enjoyed from the room view, watchn the waves hit the shore. Water didn't get hot like last time the 1st day but did second day. Could've been cause we were the only ones. Housekeeping came and give extra towels and toilet paper when we saw them on our way to the beach with no problems. Fast and friendly check in process will visit again and stay, again this was second time and able to get our same room. Really like it there, until next time which will ne next month ayyy
We arrived about 10:30am on September 1 knowing are check-in time was not until the afternoon. We've never been to this part of Texas and found the North Beach area very shady. The pictures online for Hotel DeVille are very misleading. Expedia should not recommend this Hotel to other travelers. We tried to cancel our reservation but were told by the hotel we could not. Also tried to talk with someone at Expedia but could not. We ended up driving 45 minutes away and found better, clean, safe accomodations.
Property was fairly worn down and messy. There was dog poop on the first floor that wasn’t picked for days. Staff were friendly. Had a nice patio area on the second floor that was great views were also good overall a pleasant experience pass the exterior of the building.
The only thing that caught us off guard, was the deposit fee that we weren't informed about. But the desk staff was super nice, room service was helpful. There was tons of sand, BUT it's understandable because it's walking distance from the beach
