It’s a nice property. But it’s under new management and their policies are terrible. I got there at 1 PM and asked if my room was ready and could I check in. The room was ready but they wanted $20 to check in early? I’m not sure whether expenses were at. but I didn’t think it was reasonable. My buddy came in at Tuesday morning at 3 AM. Wanted a room for a few hours. He was willing to pay full rate, obviously. But, they told him it was a holiday day weekend and they had a minimum two night stay. We’re talking about Monday night/Tuesday morning not Friday before the holiday! They cost themselves a full night stay rate. Plus they nickel and dimed me, and I won’t go back.

We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast were great! The dinner menu was very good as well. The outside area was very relaxing and nice. The only issues were the ac in our room was noisy and there was a problem with knats.

We've stayed here before and that's why we chose to stay again, but this time wasn't as nice.(1) We were told the restaurant closed at 9:00, we showed up at 7:20 and was told we would need to hurry because they were closing early. We like staying here because of the dining onsite. (2) The room wasn't that clean, water standing on the bathroom counter and dripping on to the toilet paper, trash on the floor under TV in the bedroom and candy and wrappers under the bedside table in the bedroom.

Core Memory Beacon

Ive been staying at the Lighthouse since Middle School with my grandparents and mom. I have been bring my kiddos now 20 and 18 every year. Location is perfect, piers are well taken care of and easy to access. Cleanest beach in Texas is 10 minutes down the road, or an hour with the ferry ride your in Port A, depending on the time of year of course. My 18 year old son and daughter when we had decided the weekend to book, first response was "I cant wait to get a waffle." Texas shaped waffles on thier very well supplied breakfast - see the core memories developed at the Lighthouse Inn! Its just a good place, slow and quiet community, which is what we enjoy.

Unique and well kept and appointed classic hotel. Generous and delicious breakfast included. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets overlooking the bay. Entire family enjoyed the Palm Room restaurant and bar and the friendly service. Areas around hotel and pool filled with palm trees, plants and flowers. Very clean, spacious rooms with high ceilings, comfortable beds and clean pool. Private patio or porch with nice rocking chairs. Feels like a private resort.. especially when staying on the Bayside. Very nice dock for fishing or watching the boats, birds and dolphins. Even saw a few sea turtles. Been here with family three times...will be back.
