Disappointing Stay for a Special Occasion

We chose this hotel mainly because it was only five minutes from my MBA graduation venue, and we were also celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet our expectations. There was no hand soap provided, the bathtub wasn’t clean, and the hair dryer didn’t work. We only received two towels for a four-day stay, and the ones we did get were stained. While the bed was comfortable and the view was nice, the overall cleanliness and attention to detail were lacking, especially for the price. On top of that, we spent $200 for a “special” dinner that turned out to be a lame steak and just two pieces of shrimp, far from worth the cost. The pool closed at 10 p.m., so we never got to enjoy it after our daily activities. Service felt superficial rather than warm or accommodating, and for such meaningful occasions, we expected better. The location and view were the best parts, but the quality, service, and value did not justify the cost.

I had a wonderful stay at the Omni Corpus Christi. Every staff member I met — from the front desk to valet, housekeeping, and maintenance — greeted me with a genuine smile and warm welcome. The hotel accommodated my request to have four rooms on the same floor, which made visiting with my family so easy. The view from my room was stunning! I enjoyed watching the full moon one night, the sunrise from my window the next morning, and even took a short walk down Ocean Drive (just steps from the hotel) for another beautiful sunrise. After a relaxing weekend for our family reunion, I can confidently recommend the Omni Corpus Christi for its comfort, location, and outstanding service.
