Good place to stay when seeing friends. Nice rooms but very close to the train line so be prepared to be woken up in the night! Not many toiletries and no milk for coffee/tea or biscuits which I would expect for the price of the rooms

⸻ The hotel is located about 5 miles from Bath. It’s very clean, comfortable, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options to choose from. The only downside was our first room near the Trainline where trains passed until around 11 p.m and started again at 6 a.m., which affected our sleep. However, the staff handled the situation very professionally and promptly moved us to a lovely, quiet room within the hotel. Their quick and courteous response made a big difference to our stay.

Nice chain shame about the wasps

On arrival we saw many wasps coming through the front door and the patio doors to the restaurant. We were told to close our room windows because of wasps but our room was a long way from the hotel building and the windows didn't open fully anyway. Unfortunately in the restaurant lots of wasps. Ear plugs in the room confused us but we realised we were next to a train line. Restaurant food good choice and presented well. Only issue was the mango and avocado salsa, unfortunately it had something very tart in it which spoilt the sweetness of the mango, on looking it was granny smith apple which didn't even taste ripe, it spoilt the meal and had to be picked out. The special board did not mention the apple.

The bedroom door kept making a noise, guests moving around upstairs was noisy and unfortunately the bed and pillows were not very good. The staff were friendly and no issues there, just the room was an issue
