Very old property. Advertised for the view, but many rooms have the view blocked. Very small bathroom. Creaky, old style room heating and cooling. It was clean.

The shower curtain did not reach the floor so water came out onto floor. Toilet did not flush well. When we returned from Cliff House tour, water was turned off due to replacing a hot water tank which my husband, who is a plumber, had to help them with as they were doing it incorrectly.

Turned up at hotel for confirmed (pre paid) booking on evening of Friday 9 May 2025 only to be told that our booking had been cancelled. News to us. Front desk Staff were pretty helpful and arranged to ring a motel in a nearby town (ie 20 miles away). Still waiting for news of refund from hotel through Expedia. Perhaps hotel wants to get an airline reputation?

Looked up at the light in the bathroom and there were cobwebs and nasty. Otherwise, the room was decent and in a great location. The view made it worth it. When I was checking in, one of the staff was multitasking and not really helping me- I think he was texting his boss, but wish it could’ve waited till after our interaction.

Location was inside the park so after long day of hiking & sightseeing didn't have to travel 40 minutes back to a hotel in Cortez. No TV's. Upon arrival found out that there was a water main break in units for King Deluxe villa. Placed in ADA King room which was ok but it had a queen that didn't fit the head board or placement of night stands/table. Josh (supervisor) was kind enough to explain that booking through 3rd party notification wasn't applied to reservation. Josh was gracious to give us a discount. Several restaurants in hotel plus cafeteria style dining in gift shop convenient.

We did not like anything. The place was horrible. It does not live up to what you see on the Internet. Very disappointing. I can’t imagine them people would even want to stay there.

The rooms are small and rustic, but appropriate for a in national Park hotel. The restaurant was very good. The only real complaints would be: The Wi-Fi was very unreliable, and around 7 to 11pm was —impossible to get. Also, with no cell signal makes any online working in the room impossible. - Considering the price of the room and the price of a TV, and you can’t really do anything at night in this area, would be nice to have a TV in the room. - the walls are paper, thin, so be prepared to hear every word of your neighbors conversation, and of course, they’ll hear every word of yours. Otherwise, a really great place that we enjoyed a lot. PS, we would not recommend more than two nights, if you’re staying more time in the area, consider staying in Durango, which is a very scenic town with nice amenities.

Our stay was rustic and beautiful. We only down graded because all the rooms do not have that fantastic view. You need to make sure you request it.

Place sounded great, but was horrible. No TV, no internet, and no hot water. It was 23 degrees outside and hot water to take a warm shower or wash our face would have been nice! I let staff know and all they said was yeah it’s being worked on yet never worked and was charged fully as if everything was good. They were understaffed at the restaurant so took forever and they got orders wrong, only thing available for breakfast was omelettes, no toast, no butter! Staff kept repeating they just opened for the season yet who opens when clearly not ready, very disappointing.

We booked a king room and received what might’ve been a queen but seemed like a full sized bed. The place was dated and appeared to not be renovated since the 70s. The bathroom did not have heat except for a broken heat lamp. The lone bright spot was the staff. They were nice and helpful. They were the only thing that keeps this from a one star review.

This is a freat sight seeing place. Bare bones in that if you are looking for luxury do not go here. The accomidations could you some upfrading in the daycets and toilets leak, but all in all work fine. No tvs and wi fi spotty if you can get on. Looking forward to going back as the area is spectaculer.
