Disliked: Amenities
Good location for visiting the National Park. Quiet and nice scenic views. No wifi in rooms but available in dining areas. Dining options were good for a National Park food.
The room was a bit cramped for 4 people and several of the soap/shampoo dispensers were empty when we arrived, but they were quickly filled upon request. Staying in the park was a helpful aspect towards visiting Mesa Verde.
Such an awesome place. Beautiful room and view from balcony of the park area. Plenty of food options on property so if you don’t need to leave the park you really don’t have to.
The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming unfortunately our dinner in the restaurant was most disappointing. The salmon was hard and totally overcooked, the broccoli and rice not seasoned at all
We didn’t get the room we booked - they didn’t alert us ahead of time that the whole building was flooded so it didn’t give us a chance to cancel and get refunded. Alternate room dirty and run down not at ALL as pictured on website and how’s it’s been in years past when we stayed. Utterly disappointing and very frustrating
At the start are room key didn’t, work so we went to the front desk 3 times. there were also like 15 flies in our room. And at night I heard a mouse. Do not stay!
This in a fantastic location for exploring Mese Verde. The views from the rooms are fantastic, the clear night skies are fantastic. The lodge is a little tired but still a comfortable place to stay.
Paid for room with a view after checking in went to room and it hadnt been cleaned .Returned to Front desk was told no other rooms of booked type avail...next room wasnt very clean and no view..no Manager avail..left message next morning for Manager and have had no call back since. They really dont care about cleanliness or guest satisfaction..PASS ON STAYING HERE
We loved this place so much we stayed an extra night and cancelled another existing reservation. Beautiful, easy to access, great food and rooms - simply great mountain lodging.
Beautiful setting inside Mesa Verde National Park!

The view was great!
The bathroom situation was not great. The toilet was tiny, low and leaning. The lid constantly fell on us when we sat down, and it was held by a 2x4 against the wall. It flushed only when the handle was held down for a long period of time. It felt unsafe and sub-par. Please fix this for future guests before it comes off the floor!
The shower head was not adjustable and the tiles in the shower were in rough condition.
The room was a generous size but could have used a second chair.
