The property had a 60s feel to it. The break room had Old diner style chairs and tables. Elvis was sitting on a bench for a photo op next to an old style camper. The rooms had pastel colored doors with metal chairs and tables to match. The room was very large and was exceptionally clean.

Unique motel

This was the cutest motel with lots of amenities. It was close to restaurants, gas and activities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean room with ample space. Just a fun place!

Just a very unique & fun experience, as we appreciate your appreciation & revival of the decades we grew up in. Love the colors, & the beautiful outdoor garden areas, all very lovely & well kept. Room was great & very comfortable!

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The A/C worked but it worked hard and was very noisy and the temps outside were not extremely warm. The area felt safe but there is only a door knob lock and the door knob to our room moved around quite a bit. You cannot use the deadbolt unless you are inside the room. It was fine for one night and close to Mesa Verde..

The place definitely jad a retro feel! Room was spacious and clean. Amenities were satisfactory - I got what I paid for. Only issue was noise...neighbors sitting out front (this is a motel) yapping away. Sounded like a group of bikers came through as well. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast was decent- again, i got what I paid for.

The bathroom mirror was mounted too high for my wife to use. She had to use a hand mirror that she had brought along. The bathroom seat would not stay up for me to pee. I had to hold the seat up with one hand while peeing.

We loved just about everything about our stay there. It may not be an official 5-star motel, but it was 5 stars for us. Clean, friendly, nostalgic, quiet, the grounds are beautiful and well-kept. We traveled with our Golden Retriever, who was quite welcome there. Having a safe and clean dog area is important when we stay somewhere, and the little dog park at the Retro Inn exceeded our expectations - it was meticulous. We will certainly stay there again when we visit Cortez again.
