It’s a nice property but outdated & no hot tub. The staff is amazing and access to beach and beach bar is great! Nice big clean pool. Beautiful views. Breakfast was just okay. Bed was just okay.

The hotel was nice and clean, it does need some updates. The area and beach are beautiful, staff was excellent. Their breakfast was good, and the staff there were excellent. We plan on returning to this little gem.

The hotel has a private beach which makes it very convenient if you want to relax all day at the beach. The AC in our rooms worked really well. The rooms and property are very clean. The buffet breakfast was included, and it has good options, including omelets a la carte, and the fruit was fresh and tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant one day, food was just OK. The only downside is the location, the hotel is at the NW of the island, and since there is no public transportation nor Uber in Cozumel, we had to use taxi (which is very expensive) to visit downtown or other beaches. A taxi from the hotel to downtown was $300 pesos (nearly $16 dollars) for 6 people.

It is not my typical high end property but they have a tiny yet perfect beach, great breakfast and beach bar, staff is super nice and helpful, rooms are kept clean, and it’s just a great place!

We've vacationed at Playa Azul over a dozen times over the years and we absolutely love staying there! The beach area and snorkeling are first rate! Plenty of shaded seating and the tiki bar is right there (Great Drinks & the Beer is COLD). The menu items are also first rate and you can't beat the breakfast bar! Great service, fantastic coffee, and plates made to order by the chef. Perhaps the main reason we keep going back is the wonderful staff! They are so friendly, accommodating, and dedicated to making your vacation fun and relaxing! Case in point, I accidentally dropped my wallet in a cab on the way back to Playa Azul and I didn't noticed it until 10-15 minutes after we got back. The front desk immediately got on the radio and tracked down the cab driver and he found the wallet and returned it! That's the type of over-the-top service the Playa Azul staff provides! We highly recommend vacationing at Playa Azul to anybody! We can't wait to go back in August!

We stayed 4 nights, and it was outstanding. Every employee was friendly and helpful and there was always work being done to keep everything running and clean, which is such a refreshing change after usually traveling in the US. We liked the smaller size hotel and not being in a high rise and our room was huge. The fresh flowers and blanket art were so fun to see every day and we all loved coming back to it. We walked to town once and it was 2.5 miles and felt completely safe and it was a nice walk. I would have walked it more often, but my teenagers preferred taxis which are everywhere and ready when you are for $10 each way. We hit up the happy hour each night and had food a few times and everything was great. Breakfast was nice that it was included and we could start our day full and not think about food for a while. Snorkeling at the beach was very good and we were able to see a lot of what we saw on a snorkeling excursion right on site.

Absolutely enjoyed staying here with family and will be back. Felt like a quiet boutique hotel. The inclusive breakfast was great. The staff is extremely attentive. They have security at the entrance/exit which is an added bonus.

There is a small beach seperated by a pier. It could've been super tranquil but an intoxicated older lady was loud later in the evening. Book something higher or seperate building than receptio/barin t evening.
