Place is old. Room was clean only made up 1 of the four nights I was there. The location is spectacular and the Waterfront Social Tiki Bar and Grill adjacent made up for other misgivings.

Room was terrible. Holes in walls patched with drywall compound. A new Marriott is being built next door and this place will be torn down when the other is finished. This place is being neglected. View was only good thing about room.

Great location and beautiful view. Last minute reservation. The area was under construction as a new hotel is being built. We stayed in the old hotel. Which was still a great stay. Restaurant and Tiki Bar were great. And of course the Manatees!!

Clean and comfortable but old and needs work

Location on the water is pleasant and has a nice marina view and is very convenient for kayaking and swimming with manatees. The hotel is old and needs work but it was clean and the bed comfortable. The TV remote did not work so had to turn it off on the TV and couldn't watch TV. The very nice receptionist had no clue how to fix it. Very nice to have a connected restaurant which had pretty tasty food and good service. Connected dive center rented kayaks and wet suits and has manatee tours. Very nice folks.

This property would be perfect, but it has been kept in the 1980s with updates! It. is in desperate need of a rehab! The very old steps going up to the room were wooden and both my husband and I are large people it was concerning that it might not hold us. The old school room key should have been a message to us but we continued to go in. The room was clean, but the amenities were subpar. The bathroom was at one time glazed over with a cover over the tub that was peeling off with mold under the peel. 2 very worn towels, 1 wash cloth was just not adequate. The only redeeming quality of this poor hotel was the back deck overlooking the Crystal river! Never will we return to this Hotel!

Cool old Florida hotel

It is a very cool old Florida hotel in a great location in Crystal River. It is a little dated so the humidity was not great in the rooms and it just needs a lot of updating. But they are building a new hotel right next-door which we hope to visit in the future. We did very much enjoy our stay. The staff was excellent.

No Coffee Maker in Room

Not a bad place to stay. They really need to put coffee makers in the rooms. I went down at 7:45 they were closed. The sign said open at 7:00. I called a little after 8:00 she said I ran a little late. Really? An hour was not a little late, it was a lot late. Like I said they need a coffee maker in the rooms. Otherwise, I guess I could stay again.

Such an interesting and fun experience! It was like going back in time. Nothing fancy, unless you consider watching manatees and dolphins playing right outside your door fancy...which I do.

The grounds are currently under construction. We are very sad about the upcoming changes and sale of the grounds. The Port is a very affordable, unassuming property. We absolutely LOVE it. We have came here for years. All of the rooms have water views. We wish the old owners the best but are so very disappointed.
