Worst service ever
DISAPOINTING STAYAT THIS HOTEL.The room even has a nice view since I paid water view, smell humid and someone smoke for sur before our stay. The smoking is on the balcony but they leave the ashtray on the nightstand. Room decoration totally cold, it was painted. To get a monigridge they charged 6 Euros extras, parking 5 Euros daily. Breakfast ONLY buffet or nothing then we asked for a coffee to pay but impossible you get the buffet or nothing or you have to wait to get your morning coffee until 10,30 that the bar opens. The hotel has a nice location on the beach but the hotel doesn't provide beach towels and we wee told our option was to go and by towels, really? we are traveling by plane in Spain and impossible to have towels on the luggage. Everything was like that, not flexibility at all to make customers happy,First hotel after 20 days in Spain so far that make you feel umwelcomned. Our friends also took a morning buffet breakfast because they want a coffee and after paying 9,50 Euros each said it ws the worst breakfast they took in Spain. The hotel with the premium beach access that have it should be a fantastic one with GOOD MANAGMENT and remodeling. There were not other place to buy a coffee closed by

Cullera Long Weekend Stay Hotel Sicania
Hotel Sicania is perfectly located for an easy beach stay. Condictions re Covid 19 are excellently executed with lots of provision made to keep the hotel and its amenities free from the virus. The steps from the hotel lead onto the beach which is sandy and wide and not at all crowded and without Covid restrictions at the moment. Pool time slots were controlled which was comfortable and the room is basic but acceptable. All in all a fantastic 4 night stay.

Average stay, nothing outstanding
Average hotel, it’s located on the beach, that’s the only good thing. Everything else from room, services is mediocre. But for price it’s okay.

A nice find.
Last minute booking, literally about 10 minutes before we were due to,arrive, and it turned out to be a really good call. Nice hotel, immaculately clean, and friendly. Right on a beautiful beach. Lovely relaxing stay. We ate in the hotel restaurant and there was a good choice on the menu, breakfast was a huge buffet with a massive selection to choose from. The food, both at dinner and breakfast, was very tasty but, if I have any criticism at all, it could have been warmer. Overall though, no complaints.

A MIXED BLESSING
A good stay but spoiled to some degree that they booked a party of 100 school children in at the same time as we stayed. Hotel in a lovely location but fairly basic with very little beach / pool furniture and NO sun umbrellas which was a big concern to us in this age of skin cancer

Lovely hotel close to the beach.
Had a lovely relaxing stay at Hotel Sicania, just what I needed. The staff are very accommodating, even though my Spainish is extremely very poor, the staff were very helpful and able to assist with all my enquiries. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel was very empty when we were there, however, it is considered out of season for them. Although area was very vacant as well. Looks like at one time city was very popular but now economy has hit hard in that area. The only thing I would of liked to see is room service. Other than that, room, view and staff were awesome.

Trapped in the 60s and out of it
A 1960s hotel that has been allowed to become somewhat jaded. Clean enough and OK for a one night stopover but not much more. It's situated right on the beach but far enough from the centre of Cullera to make it a very long walk if you want to see the town.

ask the locals
Very nice hotel and staff in a fantastic beach setting. We found that the only way we could find beach hotels was to ask directions from the locals. The signage and Google maps not detailed when in the beach area or could be the lack of street names! Great breakfast buffet. Would stay longer if not at end of our trip. Safe and scenic.

Nice view and water
The Hotel is old but very clean in the common area and the rooms. Staff was helpful and attentive but limited English. The food could be better but you would rather eat at the many topas bars anyway. Yes I would stay there again.

Driving Vacation through Spain
This is a very basic hotel with dated room furnishings. A few changes like new beds, addition of a mini fridge and a small table on the balcony (chairs are provided) would improve things considerably. The hallway carpets should be replaced with tiles.

Nice retro hotel
We stopped for one night at the Hotel Sicania driving between Granada and Barcelona. The hotel is located on a very nice beach at the end of a nice boardwalk. The hotel is an older hotel and my daughter called it "Funky Retro". It is an older hotel that is clean and well run with on old world charm. We walked on the beach and walked down the boardwalk. It was easy to get to and not burdened with a lot of heavy traffic like some of the other hotels we stayed at.

Functional Hotel
The hotel is a bit dated, but it is clean and functional. The room had its own air conditioning which you could set to YOUR requirements. The staff were helpful. The hotel is right on the beach, so you can get to it without leaving the grounds The hotel does a set menu for food "buffet" , at a set price, which is expensive and dreadful, so eat out if you can.

Friendly value for money hotel
Friendly well priced beach front hotel. I stayed in mid to late September 2011 still in temperatures of 25 - 28 deg, the beach is very clean, sun loungers are free to hotel guests. the hotel has a out door restaurant / bar where you can buy reasonably priced snacks and drinks before heading back to the beach, however if this doesn't appeal to you there are lots of tapas bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from along the boardwalk. The hotel is located around 45 minutes away from Valencia. A bus runs on the hour to Cullera station where you can get a train to Valencia for a few euros round trip (well worth doing). I would suggest to anyone thinking of staying at Sicania Hotel to learn some basic Spanish as I found that though the staff were very helpful communication would have been a problem had I not know some basic Spanish. If you're looking for a reasonably priced beach holiday, with a clean friendly hotel, it's certainly worth investigating. (Ask for a room with a sea view when booking)

Spain Trip
We went to Spain to a Formula 1 race and to spend some extra time sightseeing. We did not one to stay in the city. We are so happy we found this gem of a hotel. The location is perfect. It is on the end of a beautiful boardwalk. You can walk in one direction along the sea. There are resturants along the walkway and little cabana bars right on the sand and it leads you into the town of Cullera for shopping and more bars and resturants. If you take a stroll in the other directions you can enjoy the sea view along with some other little beach bars and resturants. There is a little tour train you can take to the top of the castle which is a must. We had a car; but you really do not need a car. The train station to catch the local train to Valencia is a little bit away; but there is a bus that runs there and 1 taxi that we are aware of. Beware of the signs the say "McDonalds 5 minutes" it's really a much longer ride then that...note; we don't eat there but it was funny that all the signs say it. It was so easy to take the 38 minute train ride to Valencia instead of driving. The hotel is a bit on the older side; but kept up very well. There are not a lot of english speaking there; but with a smart phone and some patience it all worked out. The location of this hotel is perfect if you like a little the quiet less hussle and bustle beach hotel this is it. They have chairs and umbrellas/covers for the beach. The pool is wonderful also...but note...as with everything in Spain; things are closed for siesta. The hotels main dining room is nice; the breakfest was extremely overpriced for what you received. The beautiful young Irish woman who runs the Terrace Bar and resturant is great. I would suggest waiting till 10:30 A.M when it opens to enjoy a coffee and a snack. Her menu of sandwiches, salads and appitizers is wonderful...ask for Sam; she is the best! There is a store called Consume and it is local market; prices are very cheap. We walked there for water and little things we needed. This hotel does not have mini fridges in the rooms so if you want cold beverages you may want to buy a cooler. We were supposed to travel to Barcelona for 3 days before heading home; but we switched our travel plans to stay at the Hotel Sicania longer. We will be going back again just to stay there.

yup its dated but location location location
right out of the sixties/seventies. But you really are right on the beach. Nice waters for kids with limited depth into the sea. pool was wonderful. right at the end so it's a bit of a hike to the other places in town, but well worth it. parking was great as well.
