I just needed a place to sleep and park my stuff while I attended a nearby conference. This place was fine, the room was a bit cramped but it had everything I needed and the staff did a good job keeping the place clean and orderly.

We came in for the night to participate in an event downtown the following day. Overall the room was comfy and quiet. The only complaint as far as cleanliness was the elevator had blood stains along the rails. It made us somewhat skeptical of the location but it worked out for the better.

Choose a high floor
The room I had on the third floor was right outside the air conditioning units of the roof next-door. I heard humming from the compressor kicking on all night like someone was sawing wood Intermittently. If you stay there, a high floor room would be more desirable.

We stayed at this hotel for few nights. It was okay not the best. No parking area so you have to pay somewhere else to park which is horrible because you constantly have to walk to your car especially when carrying luggages and in my case I had kids too. The area is surrounded with homeless and a bar at the corner. Which was scary to walk by at night to get to the car with two kids. So please be mindful of that before booking because I booked before even seeing reviews.

Smells like licorice
Excellent location within a few minutes walk of historic landmarks and excellent dining. Be advised, the rooms are much smaller than the photos suggest. Not necessarily bad thing. It just caught me by surprise. The breakfast was okay. The hallways smelled faintly of black licorice. Not bad. Just unusual. My only real complaint is the communications. They sent me an email with the addresses of two parking garages. Neither address was correct. I was given the correct address at check in. So. It's a good place for the money. I just recommend calling ahead and verifying the location of their off-site parking.

We were duped out of $45 by a garage associated to the Marriot because they told us that they were valet for Holiday in Express as well. It was impossible to find the entrance to the hotel. Had we found a way to pull up to the door, we would have been able to park in free parking. By the time we walked there, a valet had already taken our car. The air conditioner did not go to a low enough temperature and did not have any power when blowing out at all.

The staff at the property were very friendly made checking in and out convenient. The room was clean and well kept. Overall, I was very happy about the property in itself. It does appear to need a few renovations, but that didn't negatively impact my stay.
