Great Location, But Disappointing Experience Overa

My family and I were traveling back from a graduation and helping move my sister into her new apartment. We made our reservation online and chose Magnolia Hotel for a few reasons—one of the biggest being that it advertised breakfast included. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t live up to expectations. We arrived very late into town due to really bad storms, and there was no one at the front desk when we got there. We had to wait about 10 minutes before someone came out to check us in, and the staff member was not particularly friendly or welcoming. After a long day of travel, it made for a rough first impression. Once we got our room keys, we asked about breakfast hours and were told they don’t serve breakfast at all because their restaurant is closed. That was extremely disappointing, especially since breakfast was listed as an included amenity when we booked. While the location is great and very convenient, the customer service left a lot to be desired. The valet staff were the most courteous employees we interacted with, but even that came with its own issues. Valet is mandatory and costs $50/day—a fee that’s not mentioned during booking and is only found buried in the FAQ section of their website. One evening, we had to wait 40 minutes for our car to be brought around, which caused us to miss an outing we had planned. It was incredibly frustrating and added unnecessary stress to our trip. The hotel itself has potential, but it clearly needs some major upgrades. The rooms
