Comfortable Bed & Convenient Location

This hotel room is fairly basic. The good points - there are plenty of outlets to charge our devices, the bed is very comfortable, the location is good, and there is a refrigerator in the room. The sad points - there is no coffee maker in the room (have to go down to the lobby for coffee), there is no ice bucket or water cup, the air conditioner is hard to control, the hand soap is difficult to dispense. Overall, it worked for what we needed for one night.

Tru is a kind of new, but basic hotel. Rooms aren’t huge, but are clean and great for short stays. It seems in a very safe area and very quiet. It’s near the lake and there is a movie theatre and cute shopping and restaurant area nearby. I thought it a bit understaffed, but no real issues. Breakfast was your typical free breakfast items.

The floor in our room needed attention. There were areas where black stuff had been tracked in and even though it’s an easy floor to mop, these areas may need to be scraped off. The room had a smell like musk. I had to spray Lysol several times.

Spring Break trip

Nice location, decent breakfast although the attendant did a special request for my husband. The only negative was that our toilet wouldn’t flush several times during our stay.

The place has seen better days. Some of the staff were very nice and there was one lady who was very rude and act like her family owns the hotel. She drives a white messed up Escalade with broken tail light and she keeps on parking in the handicap. Parking but her car has no handicap blac on it

My only mistake was booking this with Expedia. They did not confirm my booking for hours after. Had to go to their chat, which is a real joke. I loved the hotel, but from now on I will not use a 3rd party booking. The hotel was really nice, I felt very safe.
