Quaint old hotel in a perfect area. Here is the problem…. 1. The charge for WiFi. 2. Only 3 towels in the room. 3. When you call ANY department at the hotel there is no answer. 4. They have shampoo and soap in the shower but no hair conditioner. 5. Received wrong room service order with only one glass of water for two people. 6. Still has the same furniture in the guest rooms that have clearly been there from the 70’s. I won’t stay there again. A few things to know that the hotel has no control over…. Very noisy neighborhood. Too close to the airport. Construction all day.

When asked (and promised) for a nice room, i ended up in the darkest room possible. Water pressure in the shower was weak, and the AC sounded like a plane about to take off. Overcooked eggs (despite asking for soft eggs) at every breakfast and had to wait more than 45 min for my breakfast when I was pressed by time and needed to go. Poolside was a mess due to bad customers, but hotel never cleaned it up ... all day. My 2nd time at this hotel but my first time very disappointed. Not sure that I will come back because i don't know what is the norm for this hotel . . . my first time (very positive) or my second time (negative)!?

Beautiful and historic property in the wonderful Oak Lawn area. Very safe location, for a single woman traveling. Lovely and helpful staff, clean well stocked room. I stayed on the 7th floor in a corner king with an incredible view of the city. I only stayed for one night to see a show, but the library bar looked amazing, with casual live music. I did get late night room service and was actually impressed with the salad and sandwich. I would absolutely recommend and stay again.
