I love this gem of a classic beach hotel, our balcony was awesome to relax on and the location was excellent to the beach and tons of shopping and dining. So sad they'll be tearing it down next year for something super swanky that we won't be able to afford.

The lady from the front desk was knocking hard on our door at 1 AM just to ask if the purse she found was mine. Couldn’t she have just kept the purse at the front desk and wait for someone to claim it? I do not see the point of knocking at 1 in the freaking morning, disturbing people’s sleep. I think her name is Lydia, if I remember correctly.

After checking in and going to our room, we discovered dog food on the carpet and the wet bar counter. Upon further inspection of our room, we discovered that the carpet had not been vacuumed at all. The ice container was dirty and had old water in it. We also did not have a remote for the TV in the room. There also was dog hair that found its way onto my clothes; I do not have a dog. When the front staff was alerted, they were very apologetic and did their best to supply us with a remote and vacuum the room.

2nd time staying here. It’s close to everything. It’s dated with several broken things in the room. I get the impression there won’t be any remodeling happening. Still a great place to stay. Super friendly and helpful staff

Not the same attention to detail
Unfortunately with it being an event weekend rates were inflated by over double normal cost. We missed an hour of the festival but the staff did their best to expedite. They gave us a pool and bathroom key for the wait. Was such a busy 3 days that we didnt notice until check out that under the 1st queen bed wasnt cleaned at all. A pair of flip flops , potato chip and other junk was left from the previous people. Have stayed at this location prior so was a bit disappointed in the lack of attention to properly clean it

The location of this hotel was great, very walkable to everything in the harbor. The hotel and room itself was very outdated and dirty. Our bathroom had an ant problem and overall felt dirty.
