When a loose kettle shelf is the worst thing...

Room was clean and in good order. It wasn't big, but big enough. The kettle shelf was loose, and the bathroom had a whiff of drains about it but that would be because the door was closed with the extractor fan running so drawing air in through the drains as there's no vent in the bathroom door.

Restaurant was closed until further notice but no mention when booking this hotel so no breakfast available and no staff around. Room was absolutely filthy with rubbish left from previous guests , smelt of dirty drains in bathroom, sheets were unclean with stains all over them ,dust all on the furniture very unclean had to sleep in our clothes as didnt want to touch sheets. very noisy from rooms next door could hear them talk plug everything in the tv on all night .the worst nights stay we have ever had.

The hotel is clearly a transition hotel.for workers, the walls are thin if your ground floor you hear everything and I mean everything someone was having a good time every night but it wasn't me!!

A pristine and pleasant stay- recommend.

Whilst looking shabby from outside, the inside was cool, clean, convenient and quiet. I was pleasantly surprised and thought this was well worth the money. Staff was polite and helpful. The only things that held back better scored were the terrible pillows that seemed to be stuffed with foam shapes- these need replacing with proper ones. Staff also seemed quite hesitant about their roles so perhaps they weee new to their roles. Overall I would really like to recommend the hotel as it was otherwise brilliant and in a convenient location for business users to quickly get into London or the locality. The curry I had in the restaurant was absolutely delicious too.

Clean, comfortable but a bit noisy

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Only issue was doors rattling when people went in and out of their rooms probably down to backdraft. Got woken up a couple of times.

February Review

The first room I booked at this hotel had a storage heater plugged in, this is because the window was not sealing properly and causing a freezing cold draft to come in (as well as obvious road noise). The key was also a real difficulty to get in and out of the lock. They subsequently moved me to a different room. Good clean condition though the tap wasn't solidly fastened to the basin and was moving about. The chair had a broken leg and the shower heat was slightly temperamental. Air con took a while to kick in after reviewing the handset settings for 10 minutes.
