So for the type of hotel, it is which is just a three star or more. It did really well. Everything was working. Everything was functioning properly. Nothing looked a mess. It was a very good simple clean place to stay for the night. The staff was amazing. I didn’t have any problems with them whatsoever And even when I asked for LA check out they were very nice about it. They were very accommodating and I will definitely stay here again if I pass through town again.

We’ve stayed here for about a week. It’s a great place to stay. The pool felt amazing on the hot days. My kids wanted to go everyday. The fitness center is good for what it has. Again my kids helped me stay on my fitness journey by wanting to go everyday. The breakfast was amazing especially after a morning workout. The room was nice and cozy. The only thing wrong with it was the toilet. Room 410 toilet wouldn’t flush completely, so when someone was done 2ing there would still be some leftover. Ewwy, but everything else was enjoyable.

My room was clean, quiet and comfortable for my 5 night stay. I was generally gone during the daytime. I had nice showers in the morning with plenty of water pressure. Breakfasts were good with plenty of options. The staff was wonderful. Always available to answer questions or help. I feel like this is what makes a hotel stay comfortable.

My husband and I recently stayed here for one night. Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly. I'm usually not particular about hotels; a clean room with a bed, toilet, and shower is all I need. However, our room had some significant issues. While it initially appeared clean, the bedding on one of the beds smelled disgusting, almost like vomit, which clearly indicated it hadn't been cleaned properly. Additionally, our air conditioner was leaking significantly, leaving half the room's floor damp. We informed staff about both problems, and they said they would inspect the issues but never did. While we perhaps could have been more persistent, these issues shouldn't have been present to begin with. On the positive side, the bathroom was clean, the shower had good water pressure, and the breakfast was good. The staff were nice, though seemingly not diligent about addressing complaints.

Housekeepers playing House?

This is a special Home away from Home location. Ashley is wonderful at the front dest and Angue is the BEST breakfast hostess ever! However, I had an unfortunate experience extending my stay this morning. I tipped a male housekeeper in the hallway and asked that he and his female colleague attend to my room next----the cleaning cart was right next door outside another guest's room with the female housekeeper inside---and that I would be returning in about an hour. The make housekeeper accepted my tip and smiled and nodded. I left and returned about an hour later to my room to loud, raucous, giggling sounds coming from the room next door. The cleaning cart was in the same location outside the room next door, my room had not been cleaned at all and I thought, of course, the housekeeping couple were undeniably "playing house" next door! I went to the front desk and Max assured ne I had been mistaken, that a communicatipn problem led the young male housekeeper to misunderstand my request. Max promised if I returned a couple hours later that the room would be just fine! Indeed, I returned much later and the room was fine. I am very disappointed Max and Hotel Dayton South made no apology, just excuses. I have never felt so belittled and undervalued---especialy when my decision to extend my stay was used as an additional and lame excuse for bad behavior on the part of staff who should know better. Even worse was my seeing this make/female duo continue to work together!

Comfirtabke as I have come to expect, but do I dare have housekeepers enter again during my stay?

I was welcomed by Max. He was gracious. He chatted briefly with me during the checkin process and conveyed the sense he enjoys making guests welcome. I enjoyed my stay so much, I made a reservation for a second night!

The stay was comfortable and the front desk service was welcoming. Although explained, I was unable to turn-on the shower fixture. Perhaps, a simple pamphlet in the bathroom would be helpful.
