The lady at the front deck helped us get in our room early. We came in early because of the snow storm and she let us wait in the lobby till she had our room. They are working on cleaning up the hotel. But it is an older building. The room clean but had an odor. The thing that was the worst was the noise road. And someone on their motorcycle making lots of noise.

Why the resort fee?
Comfortable bed, clean. In the process of renovating, which it desperately needs. Unsure why there is a resort fee. Minimal motel. Staff was nice or I would have given it less stars. Trust me, stay somewhere else.

Excellent stay at the Boardwalk Inn
The staff was very professional. Boardwalk Inn is in an excellent location on Atlantic Avenue on Daytona Beach. The city is redoing the public beach access right next to the Boardwalk Inn, so for now there's construction right next door. We had a ground floor deluxe suite and it had a great sitting area with a couch, recliner & TV that we enjoyed using, as well as a large patio with comfortable patio furniture. We brought the cushions in at night so they would not be wet in the morning from the overnight dampness. Large beach towels were in the room for use at the pool/hot tub. The only problem with the room was the pillows - they were very flat. The linens and room decor were top-notch so it was surprising the pillows were so flat and hard. Overall, it was an excellent experience at the Boardwalk Inn.

We’ve been coming here for years and it just keeps getting worse. The rooms are never cleaned, never stocked properly, no toilet paper or body wash but 4 things of shampoo. The pull out couch was a joke, it was the most uncomfortable “bed” ever. It was just a bunch of springs and no padding. There are 2 TVs but they don’t work and the front desk said we just don’t get access to use them, I’ve never heard that before and there wasn’t an option to pay extra for a tv so I don’t know why they weren’t available for use. They have security but they just hang out with guests and are just as loud as the guests, they didn’t quiet people down even at 3:30am. Not normal noise, excessively loud partying and being obnoxious, throwing cigarettes over the balcony, it was a mess. Elevators were broke, I asked for a 1st level floor since my husband couldn’t use the stairs as he had surgery and they said they weren’t available, then said they were available but it would be a big upcharge. We already booked an oceanfront suite so getting a ground floor pool view shouldn’t have cost more.

Needs updating. For the price, I expected a higher level of comfort. Pillows and sheets were way too thin for comfortable sleeping. Parking was not ideal. You have to leave your keys at the desk in case they need to move your car due to construction on the roads. Water pressure was poor.

Check-in was extremely slow. There is a guy at the front desk, Oshane who had zero personality. He also did not inform anyone that we requested a late check out on our last day. We received 2 separate knocks on the door at 11:15am asking if we were staying another night or leaving. We were granted to stay until 12pm by Oshane which was discussed at 11pm the night before. Otherwise, the property was nice. Security stays in the parking lot 24 hours watching the vehicles, so that was awesome. Hotel is directly off the beach, so there’s a beautiful view. The staff at the bar were friendly.

Only one parking no valet parking even if u wanted to paid for and extra parking they didn’t allow it. I called property before my trip to ask because I have my parents that they where coming to stay for a day and they said yes that they have parking then they day they arrive no parking
